"Еще монахи спросили, возможно ли давать панагию армянским и латинским паломникам. Мы же говорим, чтобы вы давали им и антидор, потому что они христиане и из-за этого идут из столь дальних стран для поклонения Господнему Гробу.
Если они и отделены от нас из-за некоторых вопросов веры и неправославны, но как христиане с верою и благоговением ищут освящения нашего, то мы должны дать им. А изречение «не давайте святыни псам» и проч. разумеет неверных, т. е. иудеев, сарацин, эллинов, манихеев и других, которые притворяются христианами, не будучи таковыми. Поэтому и прибавляет: «Чтобы они, обернувшись, не потоптали ее и не растерзали вас». Ведь топчущие - действительно псы и свиньи, а ищущие святыни с верой и благоговением и принимающие ее не суть таковые. Слушайте, как и Господь говорит: «Всякий, кто не против вас, тот за вас», и «Приходящего ко Мне не изгоню вон». Только великое Таинство Причастия не давайте им, не только из-за величия таинства, но из-за того, что таинство это представляет все Божественное домостроительство, предшествуемое исповеданием истинной веры, поэтому не должно его давать тем, кто ложно мыслит относительно Божественного домостроительства или богословия и противоречит Кафолической Церкви. Если же кто из них, возжелав остаться на этом месте или заболев, откажется от своей отеческой веры и исповедует веру Вселенской Церкви, то сподобьте его и такового общения. Таков обычай вселенской христианской Церкви. Так и святейшие Патриархи, когда совершали по праздникам литургию, то приходящих армян и латинян, со всяким благоговением пребывающих на литургии, не изгоняли, но и благословляли их, приходящих с православными, совершающих коленопреклонения и целующих патриаршую руку, и преподавали им антидор. Так и ученики Христовы не изгоняли вон приходящих к ним. Достаточно и того, что вы сами не ищете и не берете освящения от них, как неправославных и отделенных. Но если они сами ищут освящения от вас, то вы должны не отсылать их, как мы об этом наперед сказали."
