Про концерт King Crimson Projekt

Как давно я не был на подобных концертах и как давно не наблюдал такую очаровательную, профессионально ностальгирующую публику. Такие мужички, которые еще помнят время, когда небо было голубее, а президентом был (представьте себе) не Путин, а какой-то другой человек! У них разговоры перед концертом: "Послушайте любезный, какой же это King Crimson, если никого из первого состава? И этот барабанщик - он всего лишь 10 лет назад в группу взяли, а это не считается. А я, кстати, ходил на них, когда они еще с Фриппом приезжали... нет, недавно, лет 15 назад...". Короче, такие люди, для которых эта музыка - это прежде всего не музыка, а мост в ушедшую юность! Но при этом они в этой самой музыке хорошо разбираются и искренне её любят. И поэтому на подобных "олдовых" концертах нет и не может быть "левых людей". Ну, кроме случаев, когда группа является попсовым брендом, а к «малиновому королю» это не относится! И это 1:0 в пользу King Crimson!
А еще вы знаете, бывает такое - приходишь ты на концерт крутой группы из дремучего 70-лохматого года, а на сцену выходят холеные деды и скрипуче кривляясь начинают взывать к неким, видимо очень странным (раз ведутся на таких пердунов) baby. И порой эти деды даже как-то зажигают и их концерт даже нравится, но внутренний циник все равно тихонечко шепчет очевидное - какие же они жалкие, эти позавчерашние рок-звезды! Так вот к King Crimson это ваще нифига не относится. Они рок-звездами-то в нормальном понимании этого слова никогда не были. Рок звезды - это скандалы, наркота, папараци, глянцевые обложки, экзальтированные школьницы в первых рядах, отсосы в лифтах, смерть от передозировки.... А если ты играешь такую сложную музыку, которая у многих ничего кроме головной боли не вызывает, а твои зрители – не бухая молодеж, а взыскательные люди с вычурным вкусом, то ты рок-звездой быть не можешь по определению. Но зато в 60 ты будешь также крут на сцене, как и 20! И это 2:0 в пользу King Crimson!
Вообще, что это я все заладил King Crimson, да King Crimson. Выступал же Crimson Projekt, который даже не коллектив, а союз двух трио, под управлением King Crimson'новских участников - Тони Левина и Эдриана Белью. Однако, как мы с вами знаем, "King Crimson - не какое-то определенное сочетание музыкантов, а метод создания музыки". И это не я придумал, а Роберт Фрипп сказал. А он уж точно разбирается. Так вот, мужики (и одна девушка), вышедшие на сцену ДК Ленсовета, этим методом владели в совершенстве. А это уже 3:0 в пользу King Crimson!
А вот описывать сам концерт - дело абсолютно неблагодарное, как неблагодарно описывать любой концерт, где первичным и самым интересным является именно музыка. Вы слышали King Crimson? Согласны, что название этой группы можно использовать и как идентификатор стиля? Так вот музыканты играли музыку в стиле King Crimson, со всей необходимой глубиной, красотой и легкими импровизациями. Играли все вместе, играли распавшись на тройки, играли ярко и с удовольствием, порой даже немного теряясь в пространстве от погружения в собственную музыку. И сходив на такой безупречный концерт хочется стереть всю инди-хрень, непонятным образом заполонившую мой ipod и закачать туда чего-нибудь такого, что спустя десятилетия после написания по-прежнему достойно называться прогрессивным. И это безоговорочная победа King Crimson! Ура, товарищи!

Such peasants who still remember the time when the sky was bluer and the president was (imagine) not Putin, but some other person! They have conversations before the concert: “Listen, my dear, what kind of King Crimson is it if there’s no one from the first line-up? And this drummer - he was taken to the band just 10 years ago, but that’s not considered. And by the way, I went to them, when they came with Fripp ... no, recently, about 15 years ago ... " In short, such people for whom this music is not primarily music, but a bridge to a bygone youth! But at the same time, they are well versed in this very music and sincerely love it. And therefore, at such "old" concerts there are no and cannot be "left people". Well, except in cases where the group is a pop brand, and this does not apply to the "raspberry king"! And this is 1-0 in favor of King Crimson!
And you know, it happens that way - you come to a concert of a cool band from a dense 70-shaggy year, and groomed grandfathers come onto the stage and grimacingly begin to cry out to some, apparently very strange (being fooled by such farts) baby. And sometimes these grandfathers even kind of light it up and even like their concert, but the inner cynic still quietly whispers the obvious - how pathetic they are, these yesterday’s rock stars! So it finally doesn’t apply to King Crimson. In the normal sense of the word, they were never rock stars. Rock stars are scandals, drugs, paparazzi, glossy covers, exalted schoolgirls in the forefront, suction in elevators, death from an overdose .... And if you play such complicated music that many people have nothing but a headache, and yours the audience is not a buzzing youth, but demanding people with artsy taste, then you cannot be a rock star by definition. But at 60 you will be as cool on stage as 20! And this is 2-0 in favor of King Crimson!
Actually, it’s all I laid down for King Crimson, yes King Crimson. The Crimson Projekt, who was not even a collective, but the union of two trios, under the control of King Crimson’s new participants - Tony Levin and Adrian Bellew, spoke. However, as we all know, "King Crimson is not a specific combination of musicians, but a method of creating music." And this is not what I came up with, but Robert Fripp said. And he certainly understands. So, the peasants (and one girl), who entered the stage of the House of Culture of the Lensovet, perfectly mastered this method. And this is 3-0 in favor of King Crimson!
But to describe the concert itself is absolutely ungrateful, as it is ungrateful to describe any concert where music is primary and most interesting. Have you heard King Crimson? Do you agree that the name of this group can be used as a style identifier? So the musicians played music in the style of King Crimson, with all the necessary depth, beauty and light improvisations. We played all together, played breaking up into triples, played brightly and with pleasure, sometimes even getting a little lost in space from immersion in our own music. And going to such an impeccable concert, I want to erase all the indie crap that has inexplicably flooded my ipod and upload something there that, decades after writing, is still worthy of being called progressive. And this is an unconditional victory for King Crimson! Hooray, comrades!
