По легенде в один из этих дней, 42 года назад, между 6-м и 10-м июля 1972 года, Борисом «Бобом» Гребенщиковым и Анатолием «Джорджем» Гуницким в городе Ленинграде была основана группа «Аквариум». Ура!
Борис Борисович Гребенщиков, несмотря на всю его крутость, уже пожилой человек. И как любой пожилой человек Борис Борисович с теплом вспоминает свою молодость. И видимо, выступив везде, от ленинградских парадных до лондонского Royal Albert Hall, он осознал, что лучшая форма для его Аквариума – это то, с чего (как гласит предание) все начиналось, а именно квартирники. Поэтому практически на каждом концерте последних пары лет (за исключением, пожалуй, юбилея в БКЗ) Борис Борисович пытается развести квартирник (частоходящие на концерты люди подтвердят). И вот в клубе More у него получилось! Причем не просто квартирник, а настоящий квартирный фестиваль имени группы Аквариум!
Конечно, тут еще и место «виновато». Клуб More, он расположен в двух шагах от Исаакиевского собора, рядом с самими дорогими и помпезными гостиницами Петербурга… но напоминает нечто среднее между сквотом и коммунальной квартирой! Деревянные скрипучие полы, старые оконные рамы, странный ремонт, странная планировка помещений и восхитиииииительная атмосфера! Атмосфера того самого города, который мы отремонтировали! Ну, или когда-нибудь отремонтируем, оставив на память парочку хороших клубов!
Более того, пришедший на концерт зритель обнаруживал, что в каждом углу этого свото-образного помещения прячутся музыканты и играют музыку. И очень даже приятную музыку! На первом этаже выступал коллектив, где «рулил» Игорь Тимофеев, на группа Бориса Рубекина, а Андрей Сурутдинов и Алексей Зубарев и вовсе полностью слились с интерьером, нарядившись бородатыми коммунальными бухарями и усевшись под лестницей. Короче – было совсем не скучно и очень даже интересно. А в девять вечера на главную сцену клуба вышла и группа Аквариум, составом: основной стандарт + духовые + Глеб Борисович Гребенщиков, но без Александра Титова. Рубекину, как недавно на фестивале Пушкинская 10 пришлось «сыграть в Манзарека»
А Аквариум… Аквариум окончательно «сделал все как нужно», усугубив квартирную атмосферу старыми и редкими песнями. «Кусок жизни», «Если я уйду», «Марина», «Герои» и далее по списку – каждый, кто по-настоящему знает, в чем "суть" – тот поймет, насколько это был хороший концерт! Прием звучало все совсем не кустарно-квартирно - а очень сыгранно и ярко (поэтому возможно некоторые песни мы еще услышим). Кстати, был даже момент, когда БГ забил на заготовленный сет-лист и сыграл несколько песен «от души» («Зачем», «Древнерусская тоска», «Voulez Vous Coucher»), музыканты включались на ходу. И единственное, чего не хватало – так это историй. Мало говорил Борис Борисович, мало! Разве что кока-колы у зала попросил, а ему протянули швепс ("Я попросил кока-колы, мне протянули швепс..." - idea for a new song?;)). Но когда столько хороших песен, то на истории можно и забить!
Завершилось выступление Аквариума в первом часу, а после в разных углах клуба опять «завелась» музыка. Зрители почти все разошлись, но зато среди слушателей были музыканты Аквариума. И Борис Борисович тоже! До скольки это продолжалось не знаю - я ушел в районе двух, находясь в прекрасном расположении духа!
Короче – клуб More – классное место, а Аквариум не просто дал убойный концерт, а устроил супер-праздник. А сейчас давайте закроем глаза, сосредоточимся и мысленно отправим Борису Гребенщикову послание: «Надо повторить, надо повторить, надо повторить»

According to legend, one of these days, 42 years ago, between July 6th and 10th, 1972, Aquarium was founded in Leningrad by Boris "Bob" Grebenshchikov and Anatoly "George" Gunitsky. Hurrah!
Boris Borisovich Grebenshchikov, despite all his coolness, is already an old man. And like any elderly person, Boris Borisovich warmly recalls his youth. And apparently, speaking everywhere, from the Leningrad ceremonial to the Royal Albert Hall of London, he realized that the best form for his Aquarium was where (as legend says) it all began, namely apartment houses. Therefore, at almost every concert of the last couple of years (with the possible exception of the anniversary in the Concert Hall), Boris Borisovich tries to breed a lodger (people who often attend concerts will confirm). And in the club More he did it! And not just an apartment, but a real apartment festival named after the Aquarium group!
Of course, the place is also “guilty”. Club More, it is located a stone's throw from St. Isaac's Cathedral, next to the most expensive and pompous hotels in St. Petersburg ... but it resembles a cross between a squat and a communal apartment! Wooden squeaky floors, old window frames, weird repairs, weird layout of rooms and an amazing atmosphere! The atmosphere of the same city that we repaired! Well, or someday we will repair, having left a couple of good clubs as a keepsake!
Moreover, the spectator who came to the concert found that musicians were hiding in every corner of this swath-shaped room and playing music. And very nice music! On the ground floor, a group performed, where Igor Timofeev “steered” to a group of Boris Rubekin, while Andrei Surutdinov and Alexei Zubarev completely merged with the interior, dressed up as bearded communal bukharas and sat down under the stairs. In short - it was not at all boring and very interesting. And at nine in the evening the Aquarium group entered the main stage of the club, including: the main standard + winds + Gleb Borisovich Grebenshchikov, but without Alexander Titov. Rubekin, as recently at the Pushkinskaya 10 festival had to "play in Manzarek"
And the Aquarium ... The Aquarium finally "did everything as it should," exacerbating the atmosphere in the apartment with old and rare songs. “A piece of life”, “If I leave”, “Marina”, “Heroes” and further down the list - everyone who really knows what the “essence” is will understand how good this concert was! The reception sounded all not at all artisanal-apartment-like - it was very played and bright (therefore, perhaps we will still hear some songs). By the way, there was even a moment when BG scored on a prepared set list and played several songs “from the heart” (“Why,” “Old Russian Longing,” “Voulez Vous Coucher”), the musicians turned on on the go. And the only thing missing was the stories. Boris Borisovich said little, not enough! Unless I asked for Coca-Cola at the hall, and they held out a schweppes ("I asked for Coca-Colas, they gave me a schweppes ..." - idea for a new song ?;)). But when there are so many good songs, then you can score on the story!
The performance of the Aquarium ended in the first hour, and then, in different corners of the club, the music started again. Spectators almost all dispersed, but among the listeners there were musicians of the Aquarium. And Boris Borisovich too! I don’t know how long it lasted - I left in the area of two, being in excellent spirits!
In short, the More club is a cool place, and the Aquarium did not just give a killer concert, but arranged a super-holiday. And now let's close our eyes, focus and mentally send a message to Boris Grebenshchikov: “We must repeat, we must repeat, we must repeat”
