Есть ощущение, что слова "саморазвитие" и "самопознание" звучат ругательно, сродни "самокопанию". Но мне важна суть, а не название.
Если спросить ребенка лет семи, хочет ли он развиваться, что он может ответить?
Он точно знает, что хочет научиться кататься на велосипеде, нырять, бегать быстрее всех, собирать сложную головоломку, узнать, чем закончилась история про хоббита, досмотреть мультфильм про волшебника, задать тысячу и один вопрос о насекомых, вырасти, в конце концов. Но хочет ли он развиваться? Скорее всего, ответ будет «не знаю». И это честный ответ.
Ребенок не знает. Но и взрослый – тоже. Студент чувствует, что знания, которые он приобретает, опыт, который накапливает (пусть даже и негативный), выборы, которые делает - все это двигает его к чему-то... Но вуз окончен – и как продолжать личное развитие? Не совершенствовать только свои профессиональные навыки, а "растить себя"?
«Рождение — это всего лишь одна частная точка в континууме, который начинается зачатием и заканчивается смертью. Всё, что заключено между двумя этими полюсами, составляет процесс рождения собственных возможностей, привнесение в жизнь всего, что потенциально заключено в двух клетках. Но если физический рост происходит сам по себе, разумеется, при наличии надлежащих условий, то процесс рождения на ментальном уровне, напротив, не происходит автоматически. Нужна плодотворная деятельность, чтобы дать жизнь эмоциональным и интеллектуальным возможностям, дать жизнь своему Я. Мне это очень близко. Я работаю на то, чтобы люди могли развивать себя, потому как для меня самой это весомая ценность. Учусь и помогаю видеть возможности развития в деятельности, отношениях, увлечениях.
Резвитие - это не экзамен, который можно однажды и навсегда сдать, а процесс, рождающий смысл.

But does he want to develop? Most likely, the answer will be “I don’t know.” And that is an honest answer.

The student feels that the knowledge that he gains, the experience that he accumulates (even negative), the choices that he makes - all this moves him to something ... But the university is over - and how to continue personal development? Do not improve only your professional skills, but "grow yourself"?
