Так вот, про "past" и "last".
Я почему задался этим вопросом - потому что слушал музыку британских исполнителей, и в одной из песен проскочила именно эта рифма. Которая солистом была произнесена абсолютно не в рифму.
Я знаю, что в этом коллективе лирику пишут клавишник и гитарист, а солист к этому отношения не имеет.
Тут только два варианта:
1) автор лирики погрешил и сделал не в рифму (что вряд ли, у них обычно все с рифмой чудесно),
2) у автора лирики и у солиста разные родные акценты, и в акценте лирика это рифмуется, а в акценте солиста - уже не рифмуется.
Кстати, забавно, но именно настолько же отличаются акценты гугл-переводчика и бинг-переводчика. У гугл-переводчика эти слова рифмуются, а вот у бинг-переводчика - не рифмуются ни в британском, ни в американском произношениях.

Действительно, в зависимости от акцента эти слова могут рифмоваться, а могут и нет.

2) the author of the lyric poet and the soloist have different native accents, and in the accent of the lyrics it rhymes, but in the accent of the soloist - no longer rhymes.
By the way, it’s funny, but the accents of the Google translator and the bing translator are just as different. In Google translator, these words rhyme, but in a bing translator they do not rhyme in either British or American pronunciations.
