Возможно, вы уже читали: Сегодня Google объявил об официальной поддержке языка Kotlin на плафторме Android (https://android-developers.googleblog.com/2017/05/android-announces-support-for-kotlin.html).
Если коротко, то скорее всего, нас ждет взрывной рост количества пользователей языка, и Котлин, видимо, станет по-настоящему популярным в обозримом будущем. Это не первая наша победа, но таких больших у нас еще не было.
Скоро исполняется семь лет, как я работаю над этим проектом. Когда делаешь что-то так долго, как-то погружаешься в ежедневные вопросы, и трудно осознать масштаб происходящего, тут успеть бы текущие дела переделать. Но сегодня, когда в зале на пять или шесть тысяч человек при слове "Котлин" поднялся такой шум, которого за два часа keynote больше не было, у меня была возможность оценить, что на самом деле произошло. Я был страшно рад, горд и растроган. Для меня это по-настоящему особенный день.
Я очень рад, что [id553852|Макс Шафиров], CEO JetBrains, тоже был в зале. Макс работал вместе со мной над первоначальным дизайном Котлина, а теперь делает один за другим новые проекты в JetBrains, целиком написанные на нашем языке. И вообще, мне кажется, Макс верит в Котлин больше всех, и я ему за это страшно благодарен.
Для всей нашей команды это большое событие. Мы будем работать дальше, у нас куча планов на всех уровнях, а с этой суматохой еще и пропала куча рабочих дней, но я все-таки возьму отпуск поскорее, надо как-то все это переварить :)

Max worked with me on the initial design of Kotlin, and now he is doing one after another new projects at JetBrains, all written in our language. In general, it seems to me that Max believes in Kotlin more than anyone, and I am very grateful to him for this.
For our entire team this is a big event. We will continue to work, we have a lot of plans at all levels, and with this bustle a lot of working days also disappeared, but I still will take a vacation as soon as possible, I need to somehow digest it all :)
