Решительно не понимаю сетований по поводу того, что в 1988 СССР занял первое место на олимпиаде в общекомандном зачете, а сейчас, видите ли, кхм-кхм... В 1988 в стране не было мяса, молоко и сахар отпускали по талонам и визиткам, а в универсамах по утрам выламывали двери. Ну, как говорится, зато мы делаем ракеты, перекрываем Енисей...
Помню лет 10-15 назад про одну из провинций страны третьего мира рассказывали, что люди живут впроголодь, но зато там огромный храм построили. Жители рассуждали - съели бы эти деньги за год, а храм тысячу лет простоит, так что все правильно правительство сделало.
Пир во время чумы - национальная традиция? Очень на то похоже, учитывая сколько денег угрохивается в зрелища при полном нефинансировании образования и здравоохранения. Почему? Ну, главное, имперские замашки никуда не делись, конечно. Но ведь наши правители же говорили, что победы в спорт настроение миллионам - выходит, боятся, что миллионы людей с плохим настроением после поражений могут задуматься о чем-то не том. Так что не стоит сетовать, на то, что побед мало.
А вот посчитать сколько бюджетных денег уходит в спорт и какая при этом отдача, сравнить с другими странами, да выяснить, почему несколько километров олимпиадной автодороги, которую у нас строят, обходятся дороже большого адронного коллайдера, который у нас не строят, пожалуй, стоит.
