Как очень давний пользователь этих уже совсем не новых технологий, я помогу вам адаптироваться к новому прекрасному миру. Речь, конечно, про альтернативные клавиатуры, к ним нужно немного привыкнуть.
В мире Android есть две самые продвинутые клавиатуры: Swype и SwiftKey. Это дело вкуса какую из них использовать, я никогда не пробовал SwiftKey, поэтому буду горячо рекомендовать вам Swype, тем более его в пример приводит Apple в своем скриншоте (внизу): http://vk.cc/2YrTxe
Swype офигенный, но как и стандартная клавиатура iOS, он знает далеко не все русские слова. Но в отличие от iOS, Swype абсолютно предсказуем в том, какие слова он знает, а какие нет. Я имею счастье пользоваться обеими платформами каждый день и сравнить клавиатуры: в iOS я чаще сталкиваюсь с тем что обычное слово исправляется ошибочно. Это нормально, все автозамены лажают. Но в Swype слово, которого нет в словаре, вам придется набрать вручную (тогда как в iOS надо просто не забывать отменять автозамену для новых слов). Суммарная скорость ввода все равно заметно повышается (серьезно, это фантастика, насколько это быстрее, а также истинное удовольствие от процесса). Но поначалу вам будет очень неприятно часто сталкиваться со словами, которых нет в словаре.
Правило простое: если вы вводите обычное словарное слово, которое есть в активном разговорном лексиконе, оно почти точно будет в словаре, его можно смело вводить свайпом. Если же слово сложное или это сложная форма простого слова, сразу (!) вводите его отдельными буквами, даже не пробуйте свайп. После ввода, если слово действительно новое, он предложит добавить его в словарь, и тогда уже оно останется навсегда. Кстати, как и новая стандартная клавиатура iOS, Swype умеет предсказывать слова. Если Вы уже набирали «Крым наш», то после слова Крым достаточно будет просто нажать на «наш». Более того, если вы провели пальцем немного неточно, Swype предложит похожие по «маршруту» слова, а также слова, похожие на введенное слово. А самый кайф — не надо вводить пробелы.
Разберем на примере этого поста до этого момента. Какие бы слова я набирал сразу по буквам, без свайпа, потому что их скорее всего нет в словаре: iOS, избавятся, погрузятся (при этом слово «погружение» в словаре есть, это более простая форма), кайфа, скриншоте, офигенный, предсказуем (слово «предсказуемый» есть), автозамены («автозамена» есть), лажают, лексиконе («лексикон» есть), свайпом, неточно, введенное. Как видите, не так уж много, относительно основного объема текста.
Обратите внимание, слова "альтернативные", "продвинутые" - не сложные (я сначала это угадал, а потом убедился, то есть это правда очень просто: понять как именно формировался словарь Swype и угадывать заранее где будут промахи). В английском такой проблемы не будет вовсе (кроме сленга). Это довольно сложно объяснить, почему слово «процесса» проще, чем «избавятся», но это становится интуитивно понятно через некоторое время. Самая большая проблема Swype — он плохо знает русский язык, поэтому часто не знает различные формы обычного слова (как в примере с «лексикон» - «лексиконе»). При этом я почти всегда знаю заранее что форму слова «активном» он знает, а «продвинутом» — нет. Потому что «активном» — это обычный разговорный язык, который часто встречается в текстах в бытовых сочетаниях («активном отдыхе»), а «продвинутом» — это ближе к профессиональному сленгу и встречается редко. Возможно у SwiftKey получше с русским языком, но я сомневаюсь.
Вот рандомные слова из моего словаря (добавленные вручную): альтернативно, арендующие, безумную, блокировали, будили, вброс, верификацию, виноградный, внеплановая, воспитала, вчерашним, выручит, глупую, гонялся, диспетчеры, жевали, железка, загораем, закрою, запить, зебру, идиотизм, исправил, кидал, комара, копченую, котам, крута, логичная, льстит, мелковаты, меряют, мыслимых, нагревал, нафиг, ночуем, обидную, и так далее. То есть довольно много самых обычных слов, неудобства будут, к ним нужно привыкнуть. Но это все равно быстрее и прикольнее, чем обычный ввод текста. Тем более что по моему опыту iOS чаще и более неприятно ошибается (его ошибки часто замечаешь лишь перечитав текст после отправки), зато Swype ошибается в более обидных местах. Но все недостатки компенсируются тем, что в режиме Swype всегда можно набирать отдельные буквы, классическим способом. В общем, перетерпите ломку от первого месяца использования и оцените как это офигенно (кажется, мне то же самое говорят про OS X). Добро пожаловать в мир быстрого набора текстов, мы вам рады! Правда, не уверен что это будет удобно на iPad, но для iPhone это будет совершенно незаменимая технология ввода.

If the word is complex or is it the complex form of a simple word, immediately (!) Enter it in separate letters, do not even try swipe. After entering, if the word is really new, he will offer to add it to the dictionary, and then it will remain forever. By the way, like the new standard iOS keyboard, Swype can predict words. If you have already typed “Our Crimea”, then after the word Crimea it will be enough just to click on “ours”. Moreover, if you swipe your finger a little inaccurately, Swype will suggest words that are similar along the “route”, as well as words similar to the word you entered. And the most buzz - no need to enter spaces.

That is, quite a lot of the most common words, there will be inconvenience, you need to get used to them. But it's still faster and funnier than regular text input.
