Это так офигенно, что играюсь с этой штукой уже третий день. Помните приложение CamFind (о нем еще Тёма писал: http://vk.cc/32a2e7)? Распознавание произвольных образов на фото. Там на бэкэнде сидит сотня китайцев (пруф: http://vk.cc/4fUBc6) и "распознают" образы ручками, поэтому его нельзя рассматривать всерьез. Но технология, как оказалось, существует, без всяких китайцев, все по-настоящему!
Представляю вам стартап Сlevapi! Узнал о них когда смотрел заявки на Web Ready (http://vk.cc/4g8nDm), поэтому сделайте поправку на то что у проекта ранняя стадия и соответствующий сайт. Но технология mind-blowing, попробуйте сами! Почему-то для русской и английской версии сайта результаты разные (английская показывает только теги и обычно большее количество, а русская — теги с процентами точности, но меньше). Фотографии можно загонять туда по ссылке, так что берите любые фото из интернета и играйтесь. Да, иногда оно белку принимает за зайца. Но зато безошибочно распознало породу французского бульдога, страуса, мост и винтовку на одном из моих аватаров. Я не думал что такие технологии уже возможны, причем в стартапе, а не каком-нибудь суперкластере гугла, который несколько лет обучали на петабайтах данных.

It's so awesome that I’ve been playing with this thing for the third day. Remember the CamFind application (Tyoma wrote about it: http://vk.cc/32a2e7)? Recognition of arbitrary images in the photo. There are a hundred Chinese people sitting on the backend (proof: http://vk.cc/4fUBc6) and "recognize" the images with pens, so it can not be taken seriously.
