Наконец-то я закончила читать в оригинале книгу Ральфа Эллисона «Invisible man»????????
Все мы знаем Хемингуэя, а об Эллисоне вообще не слышали! Хотя книга считается мировым бестселлером!
Сначала я пыталась переводить каждое слово, но потом стала читать без переводчика схватывая смысл.
Автор романа получил Национальную книжную премию, всемирное признание наступило в один момент, но более ничего такого яркого он не написал. Во многом произведение автобиографично, описаны моменты из жизни, свои мысли и чувств и переживания о расовом неравенстве.
Книга запрещена для изучения в школах США ????
Был дважды женат. Его отец умер, когда ему было 3 года.
Эллисон скончался 16 апреля 1994 года в возрасте восьмидесяти лет от рака поджелудочной железы.
