18 Вы приступили не к горе, осязаемой и пылающей огнем, не ко тьме и мраку и буре,
19 не к трубному звуку и гласу глаголов, который слышавшие просили, чтобы к ним более не было продолжаемо слово,
20 ибо они не могли стерпеть того, что заповедуемо было: если и зверь прикоснется к горе, будет побит камнями (или поражен стрелою);
21 и столь ужасно было это видение, что и Моисей сказал: "я в страхе и трепете".
22 Но вы приступили к горе Сиону и ко граду Бога живаго, к небесному Иерусалиму и тьмам Ангелов,
23 к торжествующему собору и церкви первенцев, написанных на небесах, и к Судии всех Богу, и к духам праведников, достигших совершенства,
24 и к Ходатаю нового завета Иисусу, и к Крови кропления, говорящей лучше, нежели Авелева.
25 Смотрите, не отвратитесь и вы от говорящего. Если те, не послушав глаголавшего на земле, не избеглинаказания, то тем более не избежим мы, если отвратимся от Глаголющего с небес,
26 Которого глас тогда поколебал землю, и Который ныне дал такое обещание: еще раз поколеблю не только землю, но и небо.
27 Слова: "еще раз" означают изменение колеблемого, как сотворенного, чтобы пребыло непоколебимое.
28 Итак мы, приемля царство непоколебимое, будем хранить благодать, которою будем служить благоугодно Богу, с благоговением и страхом,
29 потому что Бог наш есть огнь поядающий.

18 You didn’t come to grief, tangible and blazing fire, not to darkness and darkness and storm,
19 not to the trumpet sound and the voice of the verbs that those who heard asked them to no longer continue the word,
20 for they could not endure what was commanded: if the beast touches the mountain, it will be stoned (or struck by an arrow);
21 and this vision was so terrible that Moses said: "I am in fear and trembling."
22 But you have come to the mountain of Zion and to the hail of the living God, to the heavenly Jerusalem and the darkness of angels,
23 to the triumphant council and church of the first-born, written in heaven, and to the Judge of all God, and to the spirits of the righteous who have reached perfection,
24 And to the Intercessor of the new covenant to Jesus, and to the blood of sprinkling, speaking better than Abel.
25 See, do not turn away also from the speaker. If those, who did not listen to the one who spoke on the earth, did not escape the punishment, then all the more we will not be avoided if we turn away from the One who speaks from heaven,
26 whose voice then shook the earth, and who now made such a promise: once again I will shake not only the earth, but also the sky.
27 The words: “once again” signify the change of the hesitant, as created, so that the unshakable remains.
28 So, while we receive the kingdom unshakable, we will keep the grace by which we will serve pleasing to God, with reverence and fear,
29 because our God is the consuming fire.
