Открытие прошлой недели. Бенджамин Бритен. "Friday Afternoons"
Как-то мы с ArtSonus брались за хоральную "Who do dwelleth...", но потом после его оперы "Поворот винта"§ и без музыки совершенно мистически-жуткой§ я отравилась. На "Five flower songs" смотрела с подозрением и недоверием. Со временем репетиций этот эффект стерся, и по ним я даже скучаю.
А это творение юного Бриттена ( ему было 20 с хвостиком) конца 30-х для Clive House School на севере Уэльса, которой руководил его брат, Роберт. Что-то совершенно особенное. Здесь мальчишеский хор сразу напоминает французских "Хористов", и мне,лично, еще и светлые песни "Звуки Му".

Opening last week. Benjamin britin "Friday Afternoons"
Somehow ArtSonus and I took up the choral "Who do dwelleth ...", but then after his opera "Turn of the Screw" § and without music, absolutely mystical, creepy § I got poisoned. I looked at "Five flower songs" with suspicion and distrust. Over time rehearsals, this effect has erased, and I even miss them.
And this is the creation of young Britten (he was 20 with a tail) of the late 30s for Clive House School in north Wales, which was led by his brother, Robert. Something completely special. Here, the boy’s choir immediately resembles the French “Chorists”, and to me, personally, also the light songs “Sounds of Mu”.
