Вместо традиционных пассажей, ограничусь цыфрами. Они красноречивы.
1. Lord of Rings.
За сколько вы хотите стать властелином 2 колец?
Банкиры предлагают забыть традиционное для Англии правило двух зарплат
(стоимость кольца) как чуждое классовому правосознанию и скромно выложить 1,200 фунтов.
Более того, банкиры до того обнаглели, что позволили себе рекомендовать нам выбрать то кольцо, которое... я даже боюсь это переводить...

Ню-ню.
Нет, все-таки наивные ребята в Королевском Банке Шотландии работают.
2. Место проведения (venue).
2,500 - 5,000 фунтов стерлингов.
Некто Эрик Беллини, организатор свадеб в Италии, всей душой радеет за нас и рекомендует
"Снять большую виллу или коттедж для приема гостей. Посколько это не wedding venue, то оно и не должно быть очень дорогим, а те,
кто решат остаться на ночь (надеюсь, не с невестой?) помогут покрыть расходы."
А вообще это идея. Снять БОЛЬШУЮ виллу в Италии. :)
Только это не 5,000 фунтов.
3. Entertainment.
DJ (который стоит 250 фунтов) рекомендуют заменить iPodом. Хорошо, что еще не посоветовали заменить тамаду iPhonом.

4. food, drink и торт.
Вместо 5,500 за three-course-meal можно сделать catering-barbeque, а гостей попросить прийти с пуддингом. Это вообще в какие ворота?
У нас люди на свадьбу со своим пуддингом не ходят!
Торт 1,000 фунтов. Есть алтернатива в Marks & Spenser, который гостям предлагается творчески украсить цветами. М-да, та еще затея...
Алкоголь - расходная часть, поэтому "use prosecco, not champagne", типа - никто и не заметит.
Я как человек неискушенный то точно не отличу, но гости, думаю, запомнят надолго.
5. Одеяние.
Невеста в Англии наряжается на 1,000 фунтов (без стоимости украшений и самой невесты). Что вы на меня так смотрите? Ну, по крайней мере так написано!
Если и это много - пускай идет на eBay, в second-hand или выбирает стиль vintage.
Винтаж, конечно, стиль хороший, но, боюсь, не для свадьбы.
6. Фотография
И вот тут нам рекомендуют не экономить! Уже знакомый нам Эрик Беллини говорит "доверяйте профессионалам, на друзей не рассчитывайте в деле фотографии,
на них (в смысле на фотографии, а не на друзей) вы будете смотреть и через 20 лет" - уверяет нас оптимистичный итальянец.
7. Цветы.
400 фунтов. Чтобы флорист не взял вдвое, стоит сказать, что мы это заказываем для вечернки.
"Ага, 38 букетов из белых роз и 24 маленьких по периментру.
Да-да, это вечерника такая! У подруги день рождения."
8. Honeymoon.
3,000 фунтов и вы летите с этого острова куда подальше.

20,000 фунтов минимум. Ну, что тут скажешь? Главное, чтобы все это того стоило. И не только в материальном плане :).
