Есть один уевый штамп, который должен быть разрушен - инди-рок. Когда-то его придумали, чтобы обобщенно идентифицировать музыкантов, записывающихся на независимых лейблах, но со временем термин утратил свой смысл и теперь означает хрен пойми что. При этом сохранился модный флёр, что помогает продавать ищущей публике самую непотребную уету под видом элитарного продукта "не для всех". (это, кстати, касается не только музыки). Поэтому отринем заезженные ярлыки и напишем правду - группа "Братки" или The Fratellis - это такие чуваки с гитарами, которых года четыре назад (а кажется, как вчера) очень любили юные девушки и, конечно же, тогда еще совсем "зеленые" хипстеры (кому еще можно вбанчивать что угодно с приставкой инди?). Ну, и сейчас тоже любят. И если в хипстерах уверенным быть трудно, то девушки-то точно редко ошибаются ;)
История The Fratellis - это история о том, как можно лихо просрать все и сразу. Дело было так: в 2005 году трое парней из Глазго (Уильям Уоллес не одобряет выбор Шотландии) сколотили группу, придумали себе вымышленные биографии/фамилии (один даже имя сменил) и стали выступать по барам и пабам Соединенного Королевства. Уже через год, в 2006 их дебютный альбом "Costello Music" стартует на 2-й строчке UK-чарта, в 2007 группа признается прорывом года, в 2008 их второй альбом "Here we stand" конкурирует ни с чем-нибудь, а с пластинкой "Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends", записанной любимой группой Григория Лепса - Coldplay, и, на минуточку, удостоенной Grammy.... А в 2009, когда, казалось бы, надо немного поднажать и взорвать мировые чарты, коллектив уходит в отпуск, закончившийся распадом.
Распад был временный, но продлился 4 года, а это, как известно, целый президентский срок в демократических странах. Мода сделала виток, Гольфстрим начал остывать, в Африке завелась лихорадка Эбола, на Украине случилась гражданская война, в России слегка прошла мода на британское инди, Шотландия осталась в составе Великобритании (Это определенно расстраивает Уильяма Уоллеса), а The Fratellis остались одной из групп своего времени, слишком молодой, что бы впасть в унылое говно, но уже вряд ли способной совершить революцию (а могли ли?). Однако к умению играть это не относится! В Космонавте The Fratellis добротно жгли, так словно у них все впереди! (а вдруг?)
Витиеватые гитарные запилы, мощная ритм-секция, наааапор, легкий романтичный налет в медленных песнях, отсутствие "грязи" в драйвовых.. Где-то это уже было. Эти The Kooks... ой, The Pigeon Detectives... ой, простите, The Fratellis, они похожи... Да тысячи их!! Весь легкий про-британский рок 00-х выстроен по единым канонам!!!! И хуже он от этого не становятся. А мы любим все эти, такие РАЗНЫЕ и в то же время похожие группы. Цепляет и все тут! В этой музыке (не только в музыке The Fratellis, а в целом в ЭТОЙ музыке) слишком много жизненной энергии, настолько, что она зацепит всех, даже пацанов из автосервиса. Но пацаны её никогда не услышат, а вот нам с вами повезло)))
Короче, The Fratellis кругом зачОт.
А единственный минус концерта - куций свет. А может быть это я просто с фоточками облажался и оправдываюсь =)))

(this, by the way, concerns not only music). Therefore, we reject the hackneyed labels and write the truth - the "Brothers" group or The Fratellis - these are dudes with guitars who were loved by young girls about four years ago (and it seems like yesterday) and, of course, back then completely "green" hipsters ( who else can drive anything with an indie prefix?). Well, they love it now too. And if it’s hard to be confident in hipsters, then girls are definitely rarely mistaken;)
The story of The Fratellis is a story about how you can famously tear all at once. It was like this: in 2005, three guys from Glasgow (William Wallace did not approve of Scotland's choice) put together a group, came up with fictional biographies / surnames (one even changed his name) and began performing in bars and pubs in the United Kingdom. A year later, in 2006 their debut album “Costello Music” starts on the 2nd line of the UK chart, in 2007 the group is recognized as a breakthrough of the year, in 2008 their second album “Here we stand” competes with nothing but a record "Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends", recorded by Grigory Leps's favorite band - Coldplay, and, for a moment, awarded Grammy .... And in 2009, when, it would seem, you need to slightly push and blow the world charts, the team leaves on a vacation ending in a breakup.
The collapse was temporary, but lasted 4 years, and this, as you know, is a whole presidential term in democratic countries. Fashion made a revolution, the Gulf Stream began to cool, Ebola fever started in Africa, a civil war broke out in Ukraine, British indie faded slightly in Russia, Scotland remained a part of the UK (This definitely upsets William Wallace), and The Fratellis remained one of its groups time, too young to fall into a dull shit, but hardly able to make a revolution (could they?). However, this does not apply to the ability to play! In The Cosmonaut, The Fratellis was solidly burned, as if they had everything ahead! (but what if?)
Ornate guitar cuts, a powerful rhythm section, naaaapor, a light romantic touch in slow songs, lack of “dirt” in drive songs .. Somewhere it already was. These The Kooks ... oh, The Pigeon Detectives ... oh, sorry, The Fratellis, they look like ... Yes, thousands of them !! All the light pro-British rock of the 00s is built according to the same canons !!!! And he doesn’t get worse from this. And we love all these, such DIFFERENT and at the same time similar groups. It catches and that's it! In this music (not only in The Fratellis music, but in general in THIS music) there is too much vital energy, so much so that it will hook everyone, even the guys from the car service. But the guys will never hear her, but here we are lucky)))
In short, The Fratellis is all around.
