Многолетняя гегемония Нашего радио сделала свое дело - адекватные молодые музыканты в большинстве своем больше не хотят петь по-русски и ваще лишний раз демонстрировать свою принадлежность к этой стране с её богатым музыкальным прошлым. Те же, кто типа возрождает традиции старого-доброго русского рока, они... Да что писать о плохом, есть же нормальные ребята. Good Times!
Группа Good Times родом из замечательного города Кострома (государыня моя). В Костроме (мон амууур) клево и весело, там Волга, там монастыри, там костромское кружево, там нет пробок, толкучек, армии мигрантов, демонстрантов, приездов президентов и прочей раздражающей мутотени. Поэтому в Костроме конечно слышали всякое новомодное инди-хуинди, записанное грустными хипстерами из спальных районов печальных мегаполисов, но любить продолжали веселую и солнечную музыку. А ребята из Good Times научились эту веселую музыку еще и играть. Круто играть!
Первое, с чем невольно сравниваешь Good Times – это старый-добрый Ленинград (уй-уй-уй). Однако очень быстро понимаешь, что эти ребята – это не калька с самой нецензурной группы страны, а коллектив с собственной стилистикой, корни которой «затерялись» скорее в музыке Less Than Jake, Goldfinger или Reel Big Fish. А главное – в отличии от все еще очаровательного, но уже постаревшего, заметно убавившего пыл и сто лет не выходившего на сцену в говно Сергея Шнурова, парни из Good Times невероятно молоды! И поэтому у них энергии, как у трех Ленинградов! А их талант, помноженный на их энергию – это такой ядерный потенциал, что я им натурально завидую. Вчера они раскачали Fish Fabrique, а в будущем смогли бы раскачать и Ледовый. И я надеюсь, что Ледовый у них будет!
Кстати, ребята уже выступали за границей, разогревали Кустурицу, дают сольник в Хельсинки и полным ходом движутся к успеху =) Только вот их записи лично меня разочаровали. Но здесь я все понимаю - сложно записать на пленку (описать тоже сложно) то, что принято называть словом «энергетика». Именно ее наличие отличает провинциальных гитаромучителей от крутых парней! Короче – если увидите на афише название Good Times – обратите внимание. Особенно если расположены к СКА и веселью!

The long-standing hegemony of Our radio has done its job - most of the adequate young musicians no longer want to sing in Russian and finally can once again demonstrate their belonging to this country with its rich musical past. The Good Times band hails from the wonderful city of Kostroma (my Empress). In Kostroma (mon amuuur) it’s cool and fun, there is the Volga, there are monasteries, there is Kostroma lace there, there are no traffic jams, pushers, an army of migrants, demonstrators, arrivals of presidents and other annoying mutoteny. Therefore, in Kostroma, of course, they heard all the new-fangled indie hindi recorded by sad hipsters from sleeping areas of sad megalopolises, but they continued to love cheerful and sunny music. And the guys from the Good Times learned how to play this fun music. Cool to play!
The first thing you involuntarily compare with the Good Times is the good old Leningrad (oo-oo-oo-oo). However, you quickly realize that these guys are not tracing papers from the most obscene group in the country, but a team with their own style, whose roots are "lost" rather in the music of Less Than Jake, Goldfinger or Reel Big Fish. And most importantly - in contrast to the still charming, but already aged, noticeably diminished ardor and a hundred years old who didn’t go on stage in the shit of Sergei Shnurov, the Good Times guys are incredibly young! And so they have energy, like the three Leningrad! And their talent, multiplied by their energy, is such a nuclear potential that I naturally envy them. Yesterday they rocked Fish Fabrique, and in the future they could rock Ice. And I hope that they will have Ice!
By the way, the guys have already performed abroad, warmed up Kusturica, give a solo album in Helsinki and are in full swing towards success =) Only now their recordings personally disappointed me. But here I understand everything - it is difficult to record on tape (it is also difficult to describe) what is commonly called the word "energy". It is her presence that distinguishes provincial guitar teachers from tough guys! In short - if you see the name Good Times on the poster - pay attention. Especially if you are located to SKA and have fun!
