Я считаю недопустимым ненавидеть арабов или говорить о них как о нелюдях. Более того, я не согласен и с такой позицией: "до того момента, пока он не взял нож, он человек. дальше — не человек". Это людоедская позиция. Можно быть правым, можно быть левым, но нельзя быть людоедом.
Меня очень волнует физическая безопасность граждан моей страны. И я считаю что всякий террорист — арабский, палестинский, еврейский, любой — должен получить соответствующее наказание или даже убит, если иначе нельзя от него защититься. Но физическая безопасность — не самое главное. Какой прок от тела, если террор сумел уничтожить нашу душу?
Самая главная опасность зла, что борьба с ним как будто требует зла. Это, пожалуй, главное изобретение дьявола: когда ты встречаешь зло, первое, что ты хочешь сделать — остановить зло иным злом. И вот, когда евреи видят арабов, желающих их смерти только потому, что евреи родились евреями, многие евреи начинают быть такими же как эти арабы. На остановках пишут: "смерть арабам". Это недопустимо.
Арабы не видят в нас людей и очень соблазнительно перестать видеть них людей. Но это означает терять свой собственный человеческий облик, это означает проиграть в самой великой войне.
Я не призываю любить арабов и арабских террористов, но я призываю не забывать, что это —всё равно люди. Они забыли, что мы люди, но это не отменяет того факта, что они люди. Они могут ненавидеть нас оправдано или не оправдано — это ничего не меняет — мы, евреи, должны видеть в них людей. Потому что это первый шаг на пути к победе. Это трудный шаг и кажется, что он не обещает никакой победы. Но иной путь уже означает духовное падение и финальное поражение.
