Уроки для христианина из события Крещения Господня
Великое и дивное событие воспоминается св. Церковию в день Крещения Господня.
На реку Иордан приходит Творец и Владыка всего, приходит Безгрешный вместе с грешниками; Бог вместе со своими созданиями и просит крещения от раба, от твари.
Бренная рука Крестителя касается главы Создателя. Во время крещения разверзаются небеса, на Крещаемого сходит Дух Святой в виде го-лубя.
Живший 30 лет в неизвестности, Иисус именуется от Бога Отца Возлюбленным Сыном Божиим.
Дивное событие! Сколько чудного, неизреченного, Божеского сми-рения явил Господь Спаситель при своем святом Крещении – этом великом и спасительном таинстве – таинстве страшном и непонятном!
Безгрешный вместе с грешниками!
Бессмертный стал на ряду с простыми смертными. Он не возгну-шался быть с ними, Он поклонил Свою Владычную выю под руку раба. Что может быть поучительнее? Где искать большего смирения?
Так равно и вся жизнь Спасителя была полна смирения и кротости.
Рождение в убогих яслях, крещение в водах Иорданских, жизнь в бедном семействе, общение с бедняками, больными, нищими и увечными, страдания и крестная смерть – все это полно унижения и показывает, что истинное величие не в земной силе и могуществе, а в совершенно ином.
Христианин, богатый и знатный сын века сего, высокообразован-ный, счастливый, всем довольный, поревнуй высокому смирению Господа нашего Иисуса Христа.
Смотри на всех, как на братьев твоих во Христе, жалей несчастных, убитых горестями жизни. Будь ко всем кроток, любвеобилен и смиренен.
Далее, Господь, Сын Божий и Сын Девы, не имел нужды в креще-нии, омывающем грех. Он для нас его принял, чтобы нам показать пример и нужду Крещения, чтобы для нас освятить воды Иордана, чтобы потопить в них человеческий грех. Итак, все для нас. Так же равно и всю жизнь Он, Милосердный, Пресладкий наш Создатель, все для нас делал. Его прише-ствие на землю, учение небесное, святое, чудеса, страдания, крестная смерть, воскресение – все это не Ему нужно было, а нам, чтобы спасти нас от вечной смерти, чтобы ввести нас в наше небесное наследие, в вечный рай, в Небесное Царствие.
Так будем же все жить друг для друга. Жизнь для себя сродни лишь сердцам людей неверующих, самолюбвцев, сребролюбцев, сластолюбцев, не ожидающих и не приготовляющих себя к вечной, блаженной жизни.
Спаситель, видим мы далее, погружает в Иорданские струи Свое святейшее тело с молитвою. Так же и во всей Своей жизни, все важные Свои действия Он сопровождал молитвою. В Иордане Он молился, на Фа-воре тоже, пред избранием учеников всю ночь проводил в молитве, в ночь пред страданиями в саду Гефсиманском молился до кровного пота, на Гол-гофе во время крестных страданий тоже возносит молитву к Отцу Своему, в минуту смерти с молитвою к Богу Отцу предает Дух Свой.
Так познай же, верующая христианская душа, необходимость святой молитвы. Питай душу свою этой духовной пищей, как питаешь ты изо-бильно всякими явствами свое греховное тело. Душа ведь больше пищи, а тело – одежды.
Велико, необычайно сильно действие молитвы! Будем молиться, бу-дем плакать, будем каяться. И да дойдут тогда до милосердого Господа наши святые, покаянные чувства.
Необходимость молитвы явствует еще из знаменательных слов Бога Отца к своему Возлюбленному Сыну: «Сей есть Сын мой возлюбленный». Если Отец Небесный называет Своего Сына возлюбленным, то чего Он не сделает ради Него.
Так, грешник, отягченный скорбями, не приходи в уныние, молись Ему, Спасителю, возлюбленному Божию Сыну, и твоя молитва дойдет до неба и услышана будет Богом, и печаль твоя утихнет; скорби исчезнут, и грехи твои прощены тебе будут.
Если же ты к Богу с молитвой не обращаешься, если ты не смирен сердцем, нет в тебе кротости, нет любви к ближнему твоему, то Спаситель наш, Возлюбленный Божий Сын, явит на тебе Свое Божеское правосудие, и свершится над тобою Его грозный суд.
О пресладкий и всещедрый Иисусе, Крестившийся в Иорданских водах, помоги нам, Создатель наш, возненавидеть путь неправды, помоги нам не ходить на совет нечестивых, помоги нам возлюбить то, что любезно Отцу Твоему, и примером Твоего святого крещения совершенно возро-диться в жизнь новую, благодатную, духовную.

Lessons for a Christian from the Epiphany event
The great and marvelous event is remembered by St. Church on the day of the Baptism of the Lord.
The Creator and the Lord of everything come to the Jordan River, the Sinless comes along with sinners; God, along with his creatures, also asks for baptism from a slave, from a creature.
The baptized hand of the Baptist touches the head of the Creator. During baptism, the heavens open, and the Holy Spirit descends upon the Baptized in the form of a bast.
Living 30 years in obscurity, Jesus is called from God the Father the Beloved Son of God.
A wonderful event! How wonderful, indescribable, divine humility the Lord the Savior showed during his holy Baptism - this great and saving sacrament - the mystery, terrible and incomprehensible!
Sinless with sinners!
Immortal was on a par with mere mortals. He did not hesitate to be with them; He bowed to His Master howl at the hand of a slave. What could be more instructive? Where to look for more humility?

Birth in a poor manger, baptism in the waters of the Jordan, life in a poor family, fellowship with the poor, sick, poor and maimed, suffering and death on the cross - all this is full of humiliation and shows that true greatness is not in earthly power and power, but in completely otherwise.
A Christian, a rich and noble son of this world, highly educated, happy, happy with everything, jealous of the high humility of our Lord Jesus Christ.

He accepted it for us, to show us the example and need of Baptism, for us to sanctify the waters of the Jordan, to drown human sin in them. So, everything is for us. His coming to earth, the teachings of heaven, the holy, miracles, sufferings, death on the cross, the resurrection - all this He did not need, but to save us from eternal death, to bring us into our heavenly heritage, into eternal paradise, to the kingdom of heaven.
So let us all live for each other. Life for itself is akin only to the hearts of unbelievers, ambitious people, money lovers, voluptuous people who do not expect and do not prepare themselves for eternal, blissful life.
The Savior, we see further, immerses His holy body with prayer in the Jordanian jets. In the same way throughout His life, He accompanied all His important actions with prayer. In Jordan, He prayed, in Fa-vor, too, spent the whole night in prayer before the election of the disciples, in the night before the sufferings in the garden of Gethsemane he prayed until a sweat, at Golof, during the cross suffering, he also offers prayer to His Father, at the moment of death with prayer to God the Father betray his Spirit.
So know, the believing Christian soul, the need for holy prayer. Feed your soul with this spiritual food, just as you are feeding your sinful body abundantly with all kinds of manifestations. After all, the soul is more than food, and the body is more than clothes.
Great, unusually strong is the action of prayer! We will pray, we will cry, we will repent. And then our holy, repentant feelings will reach the merciful Lord.
The need for prayer is evident from the significant words of God the Father to his Beloved Son: "This is my beloved Son." If Heavenly Father calls His Son beloved, then what He will not do for His sake.
So, a sinner, aggravated by sorrows, do not become discouraged, pray to Him, the Savior, the beloved Son of God, and your prayer will reach heaven and be heard by God, and your grief will subside; sorrows will disappear, and your sins will be forgiven you.
If you don’t turn to God with prayer, if you are not humble in heart, there is no meekness in you, there is no love for your neighbor, then our Savior, the Beloved Son of God, will reveal His divine justice to you, and His terrible judgment will be performed on you.
O sweet and omnipotent Jesus, who was baptized in the Jordanian waters, help us, our Creator, to hate the path of unrighteousness, help us not to go to the advice of the wicked, help us to love that which is kind to Your Father, and with the example of Your holy baptism to be completely reborn in life new, fertile, spiritual.
