Билеты до Лос-Анжелеса куплены, до вылета осталось неделя. 25 февраля я и еще 11 моих коллег должны дать, по сути, официальный старт самому амбициозному и оригинальному проекту в покере последних лет – Global Poker League.
В пятизвездочном отеле SLS Beverly Hills мы определим составы команд в рамках специально проведенного драфта. Заявки на участие в первом сезоне GPL подали 203 покериста из ТОП-1000 рейтинга Global Poker Index. В том числе и 13 представителей СНГ, не считая меня самого.

Учитывая тот момент, что я изначально хотел максимально “наш состав”, то понятно, что высока вероятность как раз этим людям оказаться в моем выборе. Во всяком случае, буду искренне рад, если получится именно так. Не исключаю, что есть идеи попробовать ухватить какого-нибудь звездного игрока из зарубежных, но не уверен в этом. Полный список участников тут. Плюс добавлено около 4х новых имен, заявки которых по техническим причинам не обработались корректно.
На всякий случай сразу отвечу на вопрос, который возник у многих людей, заинтересовавшихся в GPL, касательно эксклюзивных прав лиги на рекламные ресурсы игроков. Я несколько раз конкретно по этому вопросу разговаривал с Алексом Дрейфусом, создателем проекта. Все просто – на время проведения событий GPL (онлайн или оффлайн), непосредственно на месте проведения или в контенте, который создает GPL, игрок не может носить несогласованную рекламу. В иное время, между играми/событиями GPL, игрок волен иметь любые рекламные отношения с кем бы то ни было, за исключением проектов аналогичных GPL (всевозможные покерные тв-лиги/шоу и т.д.).
Немного отвлеклись. По формату драфта. В прямом эфире состоялась жеребьевка менеджеров команд, определяющая порядок выбора на драфте. В 1 и 3 раундах нам досталось 8 порядковый номер. Во 2 и 4 раундах 5 порядковый номер. Относительно балансная позиция, не особо, я думаю, мешающая мне набрать “своих”.
Есть небольшая особенность. Из-за того, что Дрейфус и компания решили расширить список участников команды до 6 человек, теперь я имею право выбрать 4 или 5 игроков на драфте и 1 или 2 как “wild card” приглашенных лично мной. Как именно поступлю – еще не решил. Плюс нужно понимать, что я сам буду заявляться как игрок команды, а значит добирать мне придется только пятерых. В целом, рад, что состав команд стал больше – меньше проблем будет с выставлением игрока на матч плюс есть подстраховка, если вдруг кто не сможет съездить на мероприятие GPL.
Буду потихоньку держать вас в курсе событий по поводу GPL, может услышу ваши идеи по команде или какие вопросы – отвечу. Не стесняйтесь писать и спрашивать.

At other times, between games / events of the GPL, the player is free to have any advertising relationship with anyone, with the exception of projects similar to the GPL (all kinds of poker TV leagues / shows, etc.).
A little distracted. According to the draft format. A live draw of the team managers was held, determining the selection procedure for the draft. In rounds 1 and 3, we got 8 serial numbers. In 2 and 4 rounds, 5 is a serial number. Relatively balanced position, not particularly, I think, preventing me from recruiting “mine”.

Due to the fact that Dreyfus and the company decided to expand the list of team members to 6 people, now I have the right to choose 4 or 5 players in the draft and 1 or 2 as a “wild card” personally invited by me. How exactly I will arrive - I have not decided yet. Plus, you need to understand that I myself will be declared as a player in the team, which means I will only have to get five. In general, I’m glad that the composition of the teams has become larger - there will be less problems with putting the player up for the match, plus there is a safety net, if suddenly someone can not go to the GPL event.
