Спрашиваешь меня, человек Божий, о причине и значении наступившего кризиса. Кто я такой, что ты спрашиваешь меня об этой великой тайне? Говори, если есть у тебя нечто большее молчания,- сказал святитель Григорий Богослов.
И хотя я нахожу, что сейчас молчание выше всякого слова, но из любви к тебе напишу, что я думаю об этом вопросе.
Кризис - слово греческое, в переводе оно означает суд. В Священном Писании слово суд употребляется многократно. Так мы читаем у псалмопевца: Сего ради не воскреснут нечестивии на суд(Пс.1. 5). Далее опять: Милость и суд воспою Тебе Господи (Пс. 100, 1). Мудрый царь Соломон пишет, что от Господа придет суд всякому (см. Притч.29, 26). Сам Спаситель сказал: Отец не судит никого, но весь cуд отдал Сыну (Ин. 5, 22). Апостол же Петр пишет: время начаться суду с дома божия ( 1 Пет. 4, 17).
Замени слово суд словом кризис и читай: Милость и кризис воспою, от Господа придет кризис всякому, Отец весь кризис отдал Сыну, Время начаться кризису с дома Божия (1 Пет. 4, 17).
Прежде европейцы, если их постигало какое-то несчастье, употребляли слово суд вместо слова кризис. Сейчас слово суд заменили словом кризис, понятное слово менее понятным. Наступала засуха, говорили: суд Божий, наводнение - суд Божий! Наступила засуха, говорили - " суд Божий"; наводнение - суд Божий! Начиналась война или эпидемия - суд Божий; землетрясение, саранча, другие бедствия, всегда одно - суд Божий! Значит кризис из-за засухи, кризис из-за наводнения, из-за войн и эпидемий. И на теперешнюю финансово-экономическую катастрофу народ смотрит как на суд Божий, но называет его не судом, а кризисом. Дабы умножилась беда от неразумия! Ибо пока произносилось понятное слово суд, была понятна и причина, которая привела к беде, был известен и Судия, попустивший беду, и цель, ради которой беда была попущена. После замены слова суд словом кризис, малопонятным для большинства, никто не может объяснить ни от чего он, ни от кого, ни для чего. Только этим и отличается теперешний кризис от кризиса происходящего из-за засухи и наводнения, войны или эпидемии, саранчи или другой напасти.
Ты спрашиваешь о причине настоящего кризиса, или суда Божия? Причина всегда одна. Причина всех засух, наводнений, эпидемий и других бед та же, что и нынешнего кризиса - богоотступничество. Грех богоотступничества вызвал и этот кризис, и Господь попустил его, чтобы пробудить, отрезвить людей, чтобы они опомнились и вернулись к Нему. По грехам и кризис. В самом деле, Господь использовал современные средства, чтобы вразумить современных людей: Он нанес удар по банкам, биржам, по всей финансовой системе. Опрокинул столы менял всего мира, как когда-то Он сделал это в Иерусалимском храме. Произвел небывалую панику среди торговцев и менял. Возмутил, низверг, смешал, смутил, вселил страх. И все для того, чтобы надменные европейские и американские мудрецы пробудились, опомнились, вспомнили Бога. Для того, чтобы они, утвердившиеся в гавани материального благополучия, вспомнили о душах, признали свои беззакония и поклонились Богу Вышнему, Богу живому.
Как долго продлиться кризис? До тех пор пока надменные виновники не признают победу Всесильного. До тех пор, пока люди не догадаются непонятное слово кризис перевести на свой родной язык и с покаянным вздохом не воскликнут: суд Божий!
Назови и ты, честный отче, кризис судом Божиим, и всё будет тебе понятно.

You ask me, man of God, about the cause and significance of the crisis. Who am I that you ask me about this great secret? Speak if you have something more silence, ”said St. Gregory the Theologian.

Crisis is the Greek word; in translation it means judgment. In scripture, the word judgment is used repeatedly. So we read from the psalmist: For this reason, wickedness will not rise to judgment (Ps. 1: 5). Then again: Mercy and judgment I will sing unto Thee (Psalm 100, 1). The wise king Solomon writes that everyone will be judged by the Lord (see Proverbs 29:26).
