Сказал Господь: "если Сын освободит вас, то истинно свободны будете". Вот где свобода! Ум связан узами неведения, заблуждений, суеверий, недоумений; он бьется, но выбиться из них не может. Прилепись ко Господу, и Он просветит тьму твою и расторгнет все узы, в которых томится ум твой. Волю вяжут страсти, и не дают ей простора действовать; бьется она, как связанный по рукам и по ногам, а выбиться не может. Но прилепись к Господу, и Он даст тебе Самсонову силу и расторгнет все вяжущие тебя узы неправды. Сердце облежат постоянные тревоги, и отдыха ему не дают; но прилепись к Господу, и Он успокоит тебя; и будешь, мирствуя в себе, и все вокруг светло видя, беспрепятственно и непреткновенно шествовать с Господом, сквозь мрак и темноты жизни этой, к всеблаженной, полной отрады и простора вечности.

Passion knits the will, and does not give it room for action; she beats like bound hands and feet, but she cannot beat out. But cling to the Lord, and He will give you Samson’s strength and dissolve all the bonds of untruth that bind you. Constant anxieties surround the heart, and they do not give him rest; but cling to the Lord, and He will comfort you; and you will be peaceful in yourself, and everything around you will see light, walk unhindered and unprecedented with the Lord, through the darkness and darkness of this life, to a blissful, full of joy and vastness of eternity.
