А души праведных в руке Божией, и мучение не коснется их.
В глазах неразумных они казались умершими, и исход их считался погибелью, и отшествие от нас - уничтожением; но они пребывают в мире.
Ибо, хотя они в глазах людей и наказываются, но надежда их полна бессмертия.
И немного наказанные, они будут много облагодетельствованы, потому что Бог испытал их и нашел их достойными Его.
Он испытал их как золото в горниле и принял их как жертву всесовершенную.
Во время воздаяния им они воссияют как искры, бегущие по стеблю.
Будут судить племена и владычествовать над народами, а над ними будет Господь царствовать во веки.
Надеющиеся на Него познают истину, и верные в любви пребудут у Него; ибо благодать и милость со святыми Его и промышление об избранных Его.
(Книга Премудрости Соломона, 3:1-9)
А праведники живут во веки; награда их - в Господе, и попечение о них - у Вышнего.
Посему они получат царство славы и венец красоты от руки Господа, ибо Он покроет их десницею и защитит их мышцею.
Он возьмет всеоружие - ревность Свою, и тварь вооружит к отмщению врагам; облечется в броню - в правду, и возложит на Себя шлем - нелицеприятный суд; возьмет непобедимый щит - святость; строгий гнев Он изострит, как меч, и мир ополчится с Ним против безумцев.
Понесутся меткие стрелы молний и из облаков, как из туго натянутого лука, полетят в цель.
И, как из каменометного орудия, с яростью посыплется град; вознегодует на них вода морская и реки свирепо потопят их; восстанет против них дух силы и, как вихрь, развеет их.
Так беззаконие опустошит всю землю, и злодеяние ниспровергнет престолы сильных.
Итак, слушайте, цари, и разумейте, научитесь, судьи концов земли!
Внимайте, обладатели множества и гордящиеся пред народами!
От Господа дана вам держава, и сила - от Вышнего, Который исследует ваши дела и испытает намерения.
(Книга Премудрости Соломона 5:15 - 6:3)

But the souls of the righteous are in the hand of God, and torment does not touch them.
In the eyes of the foolish, they seemed dead, and their outcome was considered destruction, and departure from us - destruction; but they abide in peace.
For, although they are punished in the eyes of people, their hope is full of immortality.
And a little punished, they will be greatly benefited, because God tested them and found them worthy of Him.
He tested them like gold in a crucible and accepted them as a perfect sacrifice.
During their retribution, they will shine like sparks running along the stem.
The tribes will judge and rule over the nations, and the Lord will reign over them forever.
Those who trust in him will know the truth, and those who are faithful in love will abide with him; for grace and mercy with His saints and providence for His elect.
(Book of the Wisdom of Solomon, 3: 1-9)
And the righteous live forever; their reward is in the Lord, and the care of them is with the Most High.
Therefore, they will receive the kingdom of glory and the crown of beauty from the hand of the Lord, for He will cover them with the right hand and protect them with muscle.
He will take full armor - His jealousy, and the creature will arm to revenge enemies; will put on armor - in truth, and will entrust a helmet to Himself - an impartial court; take an invincible shield - holiness; severe anger He will sharpen like a sword, and the world will fight against Him against the madmen.
Accurate arrows of lightning will rush and from the clouds, as from a tightly bowed bow, they will fly to the target.
And, like from a stonework gun, hail rains down with fury; the sea water will be indignant at them, and the rivers will fiercely drown them; the spirit of power will arise against them and, like a whirlwind, will scatter them.
Thus, lawlessness will devastate the whole earth, and evil will overthrow the thrones of the mighty.
