«Число 666 дважды встречается в Библии. 1) В Откровении Иоанна Богослова как указание на Антихриста (13, 18). 2) 2 Паралипоменон (9, 13): „Весу в золоте, которое приходило к Соломону в один год, было 666 талантов“.
Сегодня золото творит чудеса и знамения. Самые фантастические проекты могут быть осуществлены, если есть деньги. От их количества зависит и фантастичность.
Начертание на правой руке или челе — рука, считающая деньги и производящая коммерческие операции. Чело — бизнесмен. Все занято помыслами о золоте. Что бы он ни делал, он должен извлечь из этого деньги, иначе нет удовольствия от жизни. То есть все помыслы (чело) и все дела (рука) заняты добычей денег.

Антихрист — финансовый гений (золото) и религиозный мудрец (Соломон), знающий и умеющий все, чтобы поразить всех. Еще Н. В. Гоголь писал: „Все, что нужно для этого мира — это приятность в оборотах и поступках и бойкость в деловых делах“. Поэтому Св. Отцы так всегда восставали против сребролюбия, как идолослужения, и беспочвенного умствования, как духовной болезни.
Всякое знание имеет сладость и этим привлекает, потому что дает право власти над чем-то, а значит, и гордости.
Христианское познание преподает скорбь: „Во многой мудрости много печали“. Но печаль есть двух родов, говорит Апостол Павел. Печаль о мире производит смерть, а печаль о Боге — дар покаяния.
Откровение (13, 17): „Не смогут покупать и продавать, кроме того, кто имеет это начертание (то есть талант бизнесмена) или имя зверя (то есть принадлежность к государственной власти) или число имени его (666 — золото, наследство, капитал)“.

Он позволил им. Бесы, вышедши из человека, вошли в свиней; и бросилось стадо с крутизны в озеро, и потонуло» (Лк. 8:32-33).
Стадо было огромное — по некоторым источникам, две тысячи. И из-за свиней гадаринские жители гонят Господа от себя: «И вот весь город вышел навстречу Иисусу и, увидев Его, просили, чтобы Он отошел от пределов их» (Мф. 8:34).

И если гадаринские жители преступили закон, разводя столь отвратительных для них животных, то потому, что таков был их бизнес — они разводили свиней на продажу.
«Они гнали Господа от себя не потому, что лишились пищи, но потому, что лишились наживы, — говорил о. Василий. — Как много людей пришло сегодня к Богу! Но и в наш век будут гнать Господа, встав перед выбором: Господь или нажива. И тем, кто отринет Господа ради наживы, вернуться потом к Богу будет невозможно».

The herd was huge - according to some sources, two thousand. And because of the pigs, the Gadarin inhabitants persecute the Lord from themselves: “And so the whole city went out to meet Jesus and, seeing Him, asked that He depart from their borders” (Matthew 8:34).
