Недавно популярная телеведущая-метеоролог BBC Кэрол Кирквуд, рассказывая о погоде на ближайшие дни, использовала фразу «пиздец как холодно»
Скандальная фраза несколько раз сорвалась с уст Кэрол во время внестудийного прямого включения из национального парка North York Moors (Норт-Йоркшир) в ответ на вопрос её коллеги Билла Тарнбилла:
– А сейчас мы узнаем о погоде у Кэрол, — объявил он. – Кэрол, похоже, у вас там довольно прохладно?
– Не то слово, Билли, – ответила она. – здесь пиздец как холодно.
– Прости, как ты сказала? – переспросил несколько обалдевший Тарнбилл.
– Пиздец. Как. Холодно, – отчеканила каждое слово Кэрол.
А потом ещё добавила:
– Сучий холод. Дерьмовый холод. Как в заднице эскимоса. Такой дубак, что абсо-нахуй-лютный, полный пиздец».
– Ясно, – подытожил мистер Тарнбил.
– Хм, ну может, ещё какие-нибудь детали прогноза погоды на…
– Нет. Пиздец как холодно. Может, небольшой дождь в Шотландии и на севере. Ну, то есть, я не проверяла, но это вполне обоснованное предположение. А теперь, когда я вам всё это сказала, мне надо убраться подальше с этого продуваемого всеми ветрами пятачка и найти тёплое место, где можно выпить чашку хорошего кофе.
После этого монолога Кэрол бросила микрофон, продолжая бормотать что-то о том, что она – уважаемый специалист, а не дрессированный пингвин.
После этого инцидента руководство BBC публично заявило о том, что в отношении мисс Кирквуд не последует никаких санкций, поскольку «после изучения всех обстоятельств, мы пришли к выводу, что в пятницу утром в Норт-Йоркшире и в самом деле было пиздец как холодно».
