В этих местах я уже не первый раз. Узнал о Рдейском монастыре в 2013 году, тогда у нас была зимняя автомобильная поездка, которая перешла в лыжную, т.к. по болоту удалось проехать только 2 километра, а дальше лыжи, в феврале, под дождём.
В прошлом году мы совершили пеший поход к монастырю. Находится он на острове вдалеке от цивилизации. С одной стороны Рдейское озеро, а с другой одноимённое болото, одно из самых больших в Европе. До ближайшего посёлка 13 километров. В прошлом году мы не знали точной дороги и пошли через болото на прямую по следам ГТС, там где мы ехали зимой. Проваливаясь по колено в болото при жаре под 30 и с тяжёлыми рюкзаками за спиной, дорога заняла у нас 7 часов и отняла много сил. Ночевали в палатке прямо под монастырём.
Летом здесь просто чудесно. К религии я отношусь ровным делом никак. Иконы, духовность, это всё мимо меня. В этом месте мне нравится энергетика, история места, уникальность. Точная дата основания монастыря не известна, считается, что это произошло во второй половине 17 века. Что заставило людей построить такой большой кирпичный монастырь в глуши Новгородской области, вот это интересно.
При монастыре уже 8 лет живёт отшельник (или хранитель, как он сам себя называет) Сергей. Он поддерживает монастырь в более-менее нормальном состоянии. Восстановить его в одиночку без должного финансирования практически невозможно. Но за это время Сергей сделал очень много. В прошлом году, когда мы пришли, самого Сергея не было, но был недавно пришедший парень Саша, с которым мы болтали у костра и на утро он показал нам правильную тропу через лес и обратно мы вернулись за 5 часов.
Нам так понравилась уединённость места, красота природы, что в этом году мы с радостью вновь отправились на просторы Рдейского болота. Тропинка известна, солнце палит, пять человек преодолели путь за те же 5 часов. Саши уже не было, Сергей вновь был один. Хотя это не совсем так. В эти места часто ходят туристы, местные охотники и рыбаки. На большой земле у Сергея есть семья и друзья. Поэтому жизнь там мне больше напоминает жизнь на хуторе. По началу было сложно, но сейчас, проделав много работы, хранитель Рдейского монастыря обжился и сам готов предложить путникам еду, воду и ночлег.
В этот раз мы пришли сюда на две ночёвки, стали на краю острова, по одаль от монастыря. После длинного пути безумно приятно окунуться в тёплые воды Рдейского озера, а после пить чай в беседке и наслаждаться звуками природы. Днём следующего дня насобирали черники, наварили морс, вдоволь накупались и набрались сил.
Обратный путь всегда легче, поэтому мы довольно бодро прошли тропу за 4 часа с остановками на пофотографировать, а не "брось, командир, не донесёшь".
Сам монастырь очень мощный, производит впечатление. В таких местах не ожидаешь встретить такого великана, да ещё и с мраморными украшениями, уникальной плиткой и паровым отоплением. Вот же строили когда-то...

Dropping knee-deep in the marsh during the heat under 30 and with heavy backpacks behind our backs, the road took us 7 hours and took a lot of effort. We spent the night in a tent right under the monastery.
In summer it is just wonderful. To religion, I am an equal matter in any way. Icons, spirituality, it's all past me. In this place I like energy, history of the place, uniqueness. The exact date of the founding of the monastery is not known, it is believed that this happened in the second half of the 17th century. What made people build such a large brick monastery in the depths of the Novgorod region, that's interesting.
The hermit has been living for 8 years at the monastery (or keeper, as he calls himself) Sergey. He maintains the monastery in more or less normal condition. To restore it alone without proper funding is almost impossible. But during this time Sergey did a lot. Last year, when we arrived, Sergey himself wasn’t, but there was a recent guy Sasha, with whom we chatted around the fire and in the morning he showed us the correct path through the forest and back we returned in 5 hours.
We were so pleased with the privacy of the place, the beauty of nature, that this year we were glad to once again set off to the expanses of the Rdeisky swamp. The path is well known, the sun is scorching, five people crossed the path in the same 5 hours. Sasha was no longer, Sergey was alone again. Although it is not quite so. Tourists, local hunters and fishermen often go to these places. Sergey has family and friends on the big land. Therefore, life there reminds me more of life on a farm. At first it was difficult, but now, having done a lot of work, the keeper of the Rdeysky monastery has settled down and is ready to offer the travelers food, water and overnight.
This time we came here for two nights, began at the edge of the island, at the edge of the monastery. After a long journey it is incredibly pleasant to plunge into the warm waters of Lake Rdeisky, and after drinking tea in the gazebo and enjoy the sounds of nature. In the afternoon of the next day, blueberries were gathered up, they had been drinking juice, they had piled up and gained strength.
The way back is always easier, so we quite cheerfully walked the path in 4 hours with stops to take pictures, and not "leave, commander, you will not carry it on."
