От многих предыдущих он отличается своей простотой, поскольку построен гораздо раньше: никаких тебе ренессансных изысков или барельефов с саламандрой над камином - эмблемы Франциска I. Все предельно лаконично. А прославился Шинон в том числе тем, что здесь Жанна Д'Арк впервые встретилась с Карлом VII и узнала его, хотя тот намеренно был одет не по-королевски. Кстати, путеводитель по Шинону утверждает, что есть лишь одно прижизненное изображение Жанны, и то на полях документа (см. ниже), так что мы не знаем, как она выглядела на самом деле. Господа, знающие историю Франции, так ли это?
