И снова встретил чудесное слово "chute", в этот раз читая о водопаде. Потому что "водо-пад" - это "chute d'eau". А еще есть листопад - "chute des feuilles", снегопад - "chute de neige", камнепад - "chute de pierres" и т.п. А еще бывает "волосопад" - "chute des cheveux" (облысение, т.е.).
