На венецианском острове Мурано встретил еще один из намеков на швабов (см. название площади). Все дело в том, что швабы отправились не только на Иберийский полуостров, чтобы основать там Галисию. Но они отправились и в разные другие места, просто не настолько же удачно.
Последний швабский король, тем не менее, правил не на территории современных Германии или Испании. Правил он на территории современной Италии.
Собственно, открываем

Если кратко, то - Фридрих Второй (он же - Фридрих Шестой, шестой в роду, а второй - среди императоров) был императором Священной Римской империи и по совместительству королем Сицилии, а отцом его, так уж случилось, оказался Генрих VI из швабской династии Хоэнштауфен.
Можно сказать, что на нем и закончился весь род Хоэнштауфенов, так что его можно считать фактически последним швабским королем.
Так что три льва много где наследили в истории.
Эх, надо будет побывать в Апулии.
Ну а самое главное - пока что мне все равно непонятно, причем тут Венеция. Если швабы были на юге и владели Сицилией и ко, а Венеция вроде бы была независимой и отдельной..
