Первое, что приходит в голову при слове Ньюкасл - какой-нибудь эль. Так вот, это не тот Ньюкасл. Здесь в наличии памятники бывшим каторжникам, длинная береговая линия и живописный пляж. Сначала оставив машину в паркинге и прогулявшись по жаре, мы были вынуждены переставить ее к морю - уж очень хотелось освежиться на фоне закрытой на праздники крепости Fort Scratchley. Остаток дня прошел в виляниях по серпантинам, ведь мы собирались в Голубые горы, а отправная точка для таких прогулок - городок Katoomba в сотне километров от Сиднея.
Одноименная улица богата живописными спусками и подъемами, но темнеет тут быстро, так что за видами будем охотиться уже завтра.

The first thing that comes to mind at the word of Newcastle is some kind of ale. So, this is not the Newcastle. There are monuments to former convicts, a long coastline and a picturesque beach. First, leaving the car in the parking lot and walking in the heat, we were forced to move it to the sea - we really wanted to refresh ourselves against the backdrop of Fort Scratchley, a fortress closed on holidays. The rest of the day was spent in waggles on serpentines, because we were going to the Blue Mountains, and the starting point for such walks is the town of Katoomba, a hundred kilometers from Sydney.
