ВИФЛЕЕМСКИЙ ОГОНЬ В САНКТ-ПЕТЕРБУРГЕ.
В канун Нового года и Рождества даже самая прагматичная душа, мне кажется, подсознательно ждёт чуда. А чудеса обладают замечательным свойством – когда их по-настоящему ждёшь, они обязательно появляются. И не всегда вместе с поездом «Кока-колы». Иногда их привозит вполне привычная всем «Арктика»…
Около 30 лет назад в Австрии накануне Рождества была объявлена благотворительная акция по сбору средств для людей, полностью лишённых зрения. В соответствии с заложенной идеей акция получила название «Свет во тьме» - ведь деньги предназначались, в первую очередь, детям-инвалидам. Неожиданно для организаторов акции люди откликнулись очень активно и даже предложили сделать подобную акцию ежегодной. И тогда возникла идея в благодарность людям привезти перед Рождеством огонь из Вифлеема. Когда Огонь привезли, на перроне в Вене собралось множество людей. Они были счастливы принести себе домой частицу Вифлеемского огня. Но никто и не предполагал, что люди понесут его не только в свои дома – они щедро делились им с друзьями, близкими и просто соседями – ведь делиться радостью, теплом и светом – нормальная потребность человеческой души… Именно поэтому этот огонь несли и на развалины Берлинской стены, и в Европарламент, и на баррикады в Косово – туда, где люди устали воевать друг с другом.
Так возникла традиция приносить в дом перед Рождеством Вифлеемский огонь. Мало кто знает, но в Россию огонь доставляется свыше 15 лет. Везут его не священнослужители – везут его скауты – неожиданно для всех акция стала детской. Огонь прибывает в Вену в начале декабря, и дальше от границы к границе, от города в город передаётся из рук в руки. На протяжении всего пути Огонь не должен погаснуть – за этим следят люди, которых называют Хранителями Огня. Как оказалось, одним из таких Хранителей оказался хорошо знакомый мне человек…
28 декабря Вифлеемский огонь приезжает в Санкт-Петербург. Ещё точнее – он следует в Мурманск и дальше по побережью Баренцева моря. Чтобы рассеять мрак полярной ночи и согреть людей, истосковавшихся по чему-то тёплому, живому , настоящему. Скауты, которые будут хранить Огонь до Рождества, разнесут его тем , в ком живёт потребность подарить людям чудо – принести в чей-то дом свет, тепло Вифлеема и собственной души. ..

But no one imagined that people would carry it not only to their homes - they generously shared it with friends, relatives and just neighbors - after all, sharing the joy, warmth and light is a normal need of the human soul ... That is why this fire was carried to the ruins of Berlin the walls, and the European Parliament, and the barricades in Kosovo - where people are tired of fighting each other.
