Вот я подумал написать немного о социальной онтологии или как бы это так назвать... не очень страшно...
В песне Mind Games я наткнулся на повторяющееся словосочетание "mind guerrilla". Немного непонятное. mind — понятно что. guerrilla warfare — партизанская война.
Я почитал все эти интернеты, и там было написано, что "mind guerrilla" это такая борьба за умы между организациями, правительствами и т.д. Естественно, за счастье и все хорошее. Но поскольку никто не знает, как именно будет лучше, борьба принимает форму преследования крайне локальных целей, без какой-то внятной стратегии и понимания путей, ведущих к конечной цели. Как террористы, которые что-то взрывают, но не учитывают какой-нибудь общей картины и своих заявленных целей не добиваются.
И тут есть, вроде как, особенность, связанная с пониманием этого самого "guerrilla warfare". В России, так сложилось, что, начиная с войны 1812 года, партизаны это всегда довольно осознанно положительный образ. Люди которые знают, что и зачем они делают и знают цель, которую преследуют. Это борцы против внешних интервентов. А "guerrilla warfare" включает в себя, в том числе, терроризм внутри страны, который мы партизанством не называем, а называем терроризмом или сепаратизмом или еще как-то.
И в "mind guerrilla" слово "guerrilla" скорее определяется этим самым вторым смыслом "guerrilla warfare", который у нас не принят. Поэтому нельзя оригинальное выражение перевести как "партизанская война за умы", а скорее как "умственный терроризм"(при том, что это будет тоже не точно, просто ближе).
И в принципе, в России нет понимания того, что никто на этой планете не понимает, как "ЭТО ВСЕ" разруливать(спасибо православному/коммунистическому прошлому). У нас даже словосочетания похожего по значению нет. Мы научились быть за или против каких-то идеологий, но очень с трудом пережевываем, что это все только... mind guerrilla .

People who know what and why they do and know the goal that they are pursuing. They are fighters against external interventionists. And "guerrilla warfare" includes, inter alia, terrorism inside the country, which we do not call partisanism, but call terrorism or separatism or something else.
And in "mind guerrilla" the word "guerrilla" is rather determined by this very second meaning of "guerrilla warfare", which is not accepted here. Therefore, the original expression cannot be translated as "guerrilla war for the minds", but rather as "mental terrorism" (despite the fact that this will also not be exactly, just closer).
And in principle, in Russia there is no understanding that no one on this planet understands how “IT IS ALL” to resolve (thanks to the Orthodox / communist past). We even have no phrases of similar meaning. We have learned to be for or against some ideologies, but very hard to chew on, that this is all just ... mind guerrilla.
