Эх, хотел я воздержаться, да вот не выйдет - тема очень болезненная, в чем-то даже личная.
Начну издалека: в 1996-ом году моя семья переехала в новую квартиру, с одной условной окраины Стрежевого на другую. Первое моё воспоминание о нашей тихой восьмиквартирной двухэтажке:лестница, снизу доверху заблёванная винегретом, задрипанная ушанка и скрюченный "тёпленький" на полу.
На тот момент - это вскрылось позже - на восемь квартир в доме приходилось два притона, сосед иногда заходил за ватой и уксусом, окровавленные "баяны" валялись прямо в песочницах. Тогда - не знаю, как сейчас - Томская область входила в своеобразный всеросийский топ по героиновой наркомании и количеству ВИЧ-инфицированных. И вот что скажу:сложно бегать от правды, когда она стоит за дверю. Поэтому в городе существовало волонтёрское движение LifeStyle, занимавшееся пропагандой здорового образа жизни и первичным половым воспитанием. Прекрасно помню, как славная барышня Лиса из числа волонтёров показывала нашему классу как надевать на швабру презерватив.
С тех пор прошло ужасно много лет, швабра как опытный образец давно не нужна, а от навязчивой паранойи и страха заразиться "чумой 21 века", вызванных жуткими историями из детства, я избавился, впервые сдав тест на ВИЧ. Успел даже поволонтерствовать в инфекционной больнице в Усть-Ижоре, было дело.
И не раз, не два, не трижды писал и говорил об этом. Потому, что эпидемии ВИЧ в России не год, и не два - вне зависимости от того, сообщают об этом государственные СМИ, или независимые авторы, или не сообщают. Вирусу на СМИ насрать - он множится потому, что не может иначе, и никого не спрашивает.
Так вот, вообще тревогу по поводу ВИЧ стали бить почти повсеместно уже очень давно (может, не очень громко) , и это хорошо, и правильно, потому что болезнь эта может коснуться всякого, и человек умный и ответственный игнорировать подобную проблему не имеет морального права... Но почему люди умные, ответственные и интересные как-то умудрялись молчать.... Пока по теме не высказался Дудь?
Вышло как в пословице, только чуть интереснее: "Пока Дудь не крикнет - мужик не перекрестится". И к Дудю здесь меньше всего вопросов: он молодец, красавец, смело подаёт и хорошо держит удар, рассказывая о достаточно очевидных вещах, обращая на них общественное внимание, и уже тем хорош...
Но он-то молодец, а проблема - проблема, повторюсь, касается всех.
И тем печальнее и муторнее.

And this is what I will say: it is difficult to run from the truth when it is outside the door. Therefore, in the city there was a volunteer movement LifeStyle, which promoted a healthy lifestyle and primary sex education. I remember very well how a nice young lady Lisa from among the volunteers showed our class how to put a condom on a mop.
An awful lot of years have passed since then, a mop as a prototype has not been needed for a long time, and I got rid of the obsessive paranoia and fear of contracting the "plague of the 21st century" caused by horror stories from my childhood by taking an HIV test for the first time. I even managed to volunteer at the infectious diseases hospital in Ust-Izhora, there was a case.
And not once, not twice, not three times he wrote and spoke about it. Because the HIV epidemic in Russia is not a year or two - regardless of whether the state media or independent authors report it or not. The virus does not give a shit about the media - it multiplies because it cannot do otherwise, and does not ask anyone.
So, in general, the alarm about HIV began to be beaten almost everywhere for a very long time (maybe not very loudly), and this is good, and right, because this disease can affect everyone, and a smart and responsible person to ignore such a problem has no moral right ... But why did smart, responsible and interesting people somehow manage to remain silent ... Until Dud spoke on the topic?
It turned out as in the proverb, only a little more interesting: "Until Dud shouts, the man will not cross himself." And there are the fewest questions for Dudy here: he is a fine fellow, handsome, boldly delivers and holds a blow well, talking about fairly obvious things, drawing public attention to them, and already good for that ...
