5 сентября 2012 года в Большой аудитории Политехнического музея состоится конференция «Industry Emerging: Необходимость интеллектуального превосходства», организованная Московским физико-техническим институтом (государственным университетом). В работе конференции примут участие ведущие сотрудники научных институтов и университетских исследовательских центров, профильных предприятий и организаций отрасли, представители бизнеса и государственной власти.
Успехи выдающихся научно-технических прорывов XX века показали, что зачастую накопленные преимущества в технологии и экономической мощи проигрывали по эффективности гораздо более доступным средствам достижения цели. Победы свершались внезапно и совершенно неожиданно для считавших себя неуязвимыми экс-лидеров. Победителей гонки отличало видение собственного будущего, воля стремления к нему и мужество не свернуть с пути.
Целью конференции «Industry Emerging: Необходимость интеллектуального превосходства» является обсуждение перспективного направления технологического развития индустрии и прикладных научных разработок при реализации высокорискованных исследовательских проектов. Представленный подход ставит перед собой амбициозную задачу проектирования облика технологий, платформ и систем, создание которых способно в самое ближайшее время продемонстрировать результат и открыть доступ к технологиям будущих поколений.
В ходе конференции планируется обсудить опыт западных функциональных институтов – прогнозирования будущего ведущими «фабриками мысли» (RAND Corporation); исключения внезапного появления технологий, позволяющих обеспечить научно-техническое превосходство (DARPA в США, DSTL в Великобритании, DSTO в Австралии, DRDO в Индии); формирования направлений перспективного развития индустрии (инициативы Singularity University и X-Prize Foundation).
Также планируется рассмотреть вопросы реализации инвестиционных и венчурных механизмов финансирования в области прорывных исследований и разработок в интересах национальной безопасности и обороны, а также подходы к организации бизнеса на основе еще не созданных технологических платформ.

On September 5, 2012, a conference entitled “Industry Emerging: The Need for Intellectual Excellence”, organized by the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (State University), will take place in the Large Auditorium of the Polytechnic Museum. The conference will be attended by leading staff of research institutes and university research centers, industry-specific enterprises and organizations of the industry, representatives of business and government.
The successes of the outstanding scientific and technical breakthroughs of the 20th century showed that often accumulated advantages in technology and economic power lost in efficiency to much more accessible means of achieving the goal. The victories were accomplished suddenly and completely unexpectedly for the ex-leaders who considered themselves invulnerable. The winners of the race were distinguished by a vision of their own future, the will to strive for it, and the courage not to turn away from the path.
The purpose of the conference "Industry Emerging: The Need for Intellectual Excellence" is to discuss the promising areas of technological development of the industry and applied scientific research in the implementation of high-risk research projects. The presented approach sets an ambitious task of designing the appearance of technologies, platforms and systems, the creation of which is capable of demonstrating the results in the near future and open access to technologies of future generations.
During the conference, it is planned to discuss the experience of Western functional institutions - forecasting the future by leading “thought factories” (RAND Corporation); eliminating the sudden emergence of technologies that ensure scientific and technical superiority (DARPA in the USA, DSTL in the UK, DSTO in Australia, DRDO in India); formation of directions for the future development of the industry (initiatives of Singularity University and X-Prize Foundation).
It is also planned to consider the implementation of investment and venture financing mechanisms in the field of breakthrough research and development in the interests of national security and defense, as well as approaches to the organization of business on the basis of not yet created technological platforms.
