На юго-западе столицы в многоэтажке погиб ребёнок, зажатый лифтом, в котором оборвался трос. Жильцы дома, где произошёл этот ужасный случай, рассказали, что давно просили заменить им лифты. Но в ответ на обращения им заявили, что поставят новые лифты только за их деньги. Жителям предложили собрать 15 млн.
Жильцы рассказали, что их дом по улице Островитянова в целом находится в кошмарном состоянии, но лифты вызывают особенное беспокойство. Один из жителей сообщил, что за неделю трижды застревал в кабине между этажами.
Рабочий, вызволявший мужчину, объяснил, что сломан фотоэлемент между третьим и четвертым этажом, но денег на замену прораб якобы найти не может. Поэтому каждый раз, когда лифты застревали, их просто перезапускали, но никакого ремонта не производили.
В доме № 49 случались и другие пугающие происшествия. По словам живущих в нём людей, иногда происходили перекосы дверей в лифтах, а порой двери даже падали во время движения.
Люди писали обращения префекту, оставляли послания мэру Сергею Собянину. Но ситуация в их доме не менялась.
