Настало время написать про наше последнее место пребывания в Апулии в рамках октябрьской поездки. Город с нетипичным для Италии названием Lecce (Лечче). Лечче - барочная жемчужина Италии. Это город, который называют "Флоренцией или Римом Юга". И если бы не его местоположение, то Лечче давно бы стал одним из самых популярных городов страны. В III веке до нашей эры Римская империя завоевала полуостров Салентина и основала новый город - Люпия. Город был окружён стенами, имел форум, амфитеатр, театр и выход к морю. В 1630 году начинается строительство многочисленных зданий и церквей. Именно в этот период Лечче обрёл красивый барочный облик.
Как часто бывает в городах, старая и историческая часть которых расположена внутри огромных неприступных стен, по-настоящему проникнуться их архитектурой, настроением и ритмом жизни можно только проживая внутри. Как только вы выходите за пределы «старого города», вы попадаете в другой мир с сетевыми гостиницами, моллами, заправками и многорядными перекрёстками. Но вот внутри - совсем другое дело. Там вы переноситесь на несколько веков, а то и тысячелетий назад.
В Лечче мы остановились в семейном отеле высочайшего класса La Fiermontina. Это здание, принадлежащее одной семье на протяжении вот уже более трёхсот лет, находящееся прямо около стены, окружающей исторический центр города, с внутренней стороны. Помимо первоклассного уровня сервиса и комфорта, это место оставит любого постояльца неравнодушным благодаря ряду впечатлений, вызванных такими фактами, как, например:
- Семья владельцев отеля обожает искусство. Территория вокруг здания, внутренний дворик, помещение ресторана, холла, каминного зала, а также все номера просто заставлены различными скульптурами, а их стены завешаны картинами. Более того, у семьи настолько много предметов искусства, что помимо частной домашней коллекции и того, что украшает отель, в другом своём здании (расположенном также в историческом центре), они сделали частный музей и приглашают туда всех своих постояльцев по предварительной записи.
- Оливковым деревья, красиво рассаженным во внутреннем дворике отеля около бассейна, на самом деле больше лет, чем городу, в котором я родился. Представьте, Пётр I в 1703 году начал строительство Санкт-Петербурга, а именно в этом дворе именно за этими деревьями уже ухаживали члены именно той семьи, которая и владеет этим местом до сих пор.
При желании, портье расскажет ещё много интересного и про семью, и про дом, и про город. Но для этого вам нужно самим сюда приехать и всё спросить. Поверьте, это то место, в котором, находясь в гостинице, чувствуешь себя как дома.

It is time to write about our last place of stay in Puglia as part of the October trip. A city with a name that is not typical for Italy is Lecce. Lecce is the baroque pearl of Italy. As soon as you go beyond the limits of the “old city”, you find yourself in another world with chain hotels, malls, gas stations and multi-row intersections. But inside is quite another matter. There you are transported for several centuries, and even thousands of years ago.
In Lecce, we stayed in a family hotel of the highest class La Fiermontina. This building, owned by one family for more than three hundred years, located right next to the wall surrounding the historic center of the city, from the inside. In addition to the first-class level of service and comfort, this place will leave any guest indifferent due to a number of impressions caused by such facts as, for example:
- The family of hotel owners loves art. The territory around the building, the courtyard, the restaurant, the hall, the fireplace room, and all the rooms are simply covered with various sculptures, and their walls are hung with paintings. Moreover, the family has so many pieces of art that, in addition to the private home collection and the fact that decorates the hotel, in another building (also located in the historical center), they made a private museum and invite all their guests there by appointment.
- Olive trees, beautifully planted in the hotel’s courtyard around the pool, are actually more years old than the city where I was born.
