Thomas Heatherwick is a British designer, Honorary Fellow of the Royal Institute of British Architects, Senior Fellow at the Royal College of Art and Victoria & Albert Musuem, Ph.D. from four British universities (Shef fi eld Hallam University, the University of Dundee, Manchester Metropolitan University and the University of Brighton). Thomas was the youngest ever to be named Royal Designer and was awarded the London Design Medal at the 2010 London Design Festival for his contributions to the industry.
