О мюзиклах, геноциде Монтекки и ценности героев второго плана
В прошлом году 30 декабря мы сходили на мюзикл "Бал вампиров". Оба знали о нём давно, Ника давно хотела посмотреть, а я долго сопротивлялся - больно уж напрягала афиша. Как выяснилось, зря переживал, ужаса совершенно не было, зато появился устойчивый интерес к мюзиклам. Поэтому когда появилось время сходить вновь, не задумываясь купили билеты.
В этот раз был 3D-мюзикл "Джульетта и Ромео". Поскольку на Pola Negri я не был, сравнивать приходилось с "плоскими" вампирами (с которыми, судя по комментариям, сравнивают все современные мюзиклы). Из плюсов: прекрасная музыка, впечатляющие технические решения, завораживающая хореография в ряде номеров. Из минусов: странные (впечатление, что сырые) диалоги между номерами, слабая актёрская игра главных героев, отсутствие семьи Монтекки в принципе (соответственно, никакой финальной сцены примирения семей).
Если охарактеризовать мюзикл одной фразой, я бы назвал его "Бенефисом актёров второго плана" и, судя по аплодисментам, зал со мной был согласен. Действительно, исполнители ролей Меркуцио, Кормилицы и Монаха сценически были существенно сильнее остальных актёров. Соответственно, совместный номер Меркуцио и Марты - выжимка артистизма.
Честно говоря, мне всегда было жаль Меркуцио больше остальных погибших персонажей. Здесь же его было жаль ещё сильнее. Повторюсь - семьи Монтекки нет в принципе, поэтому умерли только любовники, Тибальд и Меркуцио.
Особенно хочется отметить не самый лучший звук. Если пели трое и более актёров, разобрать текст становилось невозможно. В какой-то момент я просто отбросил надежды и стал относиться как к опере: итальянского и французского не знаю, русский не распознаю.
А когда текст был понятен, то, повторюсь, сразу появлялись вопросы к авторам. Самой удивляющей в этом плане сценой было тайное венчание. Я так до конца и не понял, забыл ли актёр текст и импровизировал или играл пьяного священника или же это просто был слабый текст.
Но всё же, плюсов для меня было больше, и я советую всем сомневающимся решиться и сходить-посмотреть.

Of the minuses: strange (the impression that raw) dialogues between the numbers, the weak acting of the main characters, the absence of the Montague family in principle (accordingly, no final scene of reconciliation of families).
To describe the musical in one phrase, I would call it "Supporting Actors Benefit" and, judging by the applause, the audience agreed with me. Indeed, the performers of the roles of Mercutio, Nurse and Monk were significantly stronger on stage than the rest of the actors. Accordingly, the joint performance of Mercutio and Marta is a squeeze of artistry.
Honestly, I've always felt sorry for Mercutio more than the rest of the dead characters. Here he was even more sorry. I repeat - the Montague family does not exist in principle, so only the lovers, Tybalt and Mercutio, died.
I would especially like to note not the best sound. If three or more actors sang, it became impossible to make out the text. At some point, I just dropped my hopes and began to treat it like an opera: I don't know Italian and French, I don't recognize Russian.
And when the text was clear, then, I repeat, questions immediately appeared to the authors. The most surprising scene in this regard was the secret wedding. I still did not fully understand whether the actor forgot the text and improvised or played a drunken priest, or whether it was just a weak text.
But still, there were more advantages for me, and I advise all doubters to make up their minds and go and see.
