Волнение моря 6 – 7 баллов. Самый большой шторм, в который я когда-либо попадал. Это очень круто. Никакое видео не сможет передать, насколько это впечатляет. Огромные массы воды, сильный ветер около 25 м/с, глубина примерно 600 метров – ощущается, насколько корабль мал по сравнению со стихией. Ветер срывает гребни волн, отчего на воде образуются полосы. Корабль носом наваливается на встречные волны, разбегающиеся массы воды поднимаются сильным ветром и обрушиваются на рубку, надстройку, палубы. Бушующая стихия повсюду. Складывается впечатление, что вода вокруг закипает. Если выбраться на самый безопасный открытый участок палубы, то через пять минут все равно промокнешь – вода, очень соленая на вкус, летит сверху, сбоку, снизу… Поэтому при сильных волнениях пароходы герметизируют.
В книжках про пиратов и морские приключения часто пишут что-то в духе: «как вдруг налетел шторм». Этот шторм «налетел» за трое суток. В первый день задул сильный ветер и волнение 3 - 4 балла, на второй день 5 баллов, на третий пик шторма, а к вечеру начинает ветер угасать. Еще пару дней. Заметно портит настроение, если начнет проявляться морская болезнь, при этом все прекрасно понимают, что такую качку нельзя «выключить», а завтра может быть еще хуже. И из-за шторма идти еще на сутки – двое дольше. Качка ощущается меньше, если вы живете ниже ватерлинии и ближе к середине корабля, но если с размещением не очень повезло, то можно провести не одну бессонную ночь до окончания шторма.
