У многих сторонников «Белого дела», не говоря уже просто о людях, черпающих знания из современных фильмов о событиях Гражданской войны, сложилось мнение, что Белые выступали «За Веру, Царя и Отечество», являясь, очевидно, монархистами, против «Красных», которые свергли 300-летнюю монархию, нарушив тысячелетниие устои Русского государства, чтобы наводить тут свои порядки. Это иллюзия, которая является мощным поводом для спекуляций.
Итак, кто же сверг Царя, и за что сражались Белые.
До февраля 1917-го в обществе, в оппозиции и даже в армии открыто обсуждался возможность цареубийства. В воспоминаниях профессора Ю.В. Ломоносова есть вот что:
«Удивительно то, что, насколько я слышал, это недовольство было направлено почти исключительно против царя и особенно царицы. В штабах и в Ставке царицу ругали...

Many supporters of the "White Cause", not to mention just people who draw knowledge from modern films about the events of the Civil War, have the opinion that the Whites stood up for "For Faith, Tsar and Fatherland", being, obviously, monarchists, against the "Reds" who overthrew the 300-year-old monarchy, violating the millennial foundations of the Russian state, in order to establish their own order here. It is an illusion that is a powerful speculation.
