Кажется, что к 2018 году ситуация поменялась: западные «партнеры» прямо говорят о новой холодной войне, против России вводятся санкции, во многих регионах мира полыхают уже «горячие» войны. Элита начала что-то даже говорить о патриотизме и национальных интересах, однако одно дело — разговоры, другое — накопленный со времен перестройки «багаж». Высшие слои российского общества все так же смотрят на Запад; «оборонка», да и вся экономика и «социалка» подрублены предыдущими десятилетиями грабежа и «распила». Коррупция торжествует, а вот рабочие навыки — и на уровне руководства, и на уровне военнослужащих и инженеров, за 25 лет явно подрастерялись.
