Святейший Патриарх Алексий подтвердил, что Русская Церковь не требует от государства реституции церковного имущества

Предстоятель Русской Церкви заявил об этом сегодня на встрече с главой Федерального агентства по управлению федеральным имуществом Валерием Назаровым. Встреча состоялась в Рабочей Патриаршей резиденции в Чистом переулке.
«Мы понимаем, что реституция — это сложный процесс, — сказал Святейший Патриарх, — и не намерены поднимать вопрос о реституции. В то же время мы приветствуем те шаги "Росимущества", которые способствуют возвращению церковных и храмовых зданий в тех случаях, когда это возможно и необходимо».
В свою очередь, В.Л. Назаров отметил, что процесс передачи религиозным организациям бывших храмовых зданий является свидетельством того, что руководство государства и правительство России придает большое значение вопросам построения подлинно демократического общества, учитывающего интересы всех групп граждан и стоящего на страже этих интересов.
Во встрече приняла участие юрисконсульт Московской Патриархии К.А. Чернега.
