Саша Садиков - Желтый Мустанг (2012)
После предыдущего альбома "Телекастер", который я выпустил в феврале, творческая активность стремительно возросла. За последние несколько месяцев идей, набросков и песен набралось на новый альбом. Суть примерно та же: голос плюс гитара, иногда с драм-машиной.
Как это у меня обычно бывает, альбом состоит из основных композиций и бонус-треков, причем в архиве, который можно скачать с сайта Радио801, на одну песню больше, чем в «стандартной версии», выложенной в разных соцсетях. Все песни написаны мной, за исключением «If I give my soul» (это кавер нетленной баллады Билли Джо Шэйвера).
Альбом «Желтый Мустанг» вдохновлен американской культурой конца 60-х – начала 70-х годов. Разумеется, у меня не получилось полностью сделать так, как мне бы хотелось (потому что я все еще на гитаре, скорее, бренчу, чем играю). Но я попытался в силу своих возможностей напомнить о тех славных временах, когда по пустынным шоссе мчались ревущие масл-кары, из приемников звучали голоса Джеймса Брауна и Айзека Хейза, гитара Мадди Уотерса и рояль Рэя Чарльза.
Я использовал цитаты из фильмов «Угнать за 60 секунд» Эйч Би Халики 1974 года (1) и «Исчезающая точка» Ричарда Сарафьяна 1971 года (8), а также фрагменты хитов лейбла Motown (3).
В качестве обложки я взял фотографию «1965 Ford Mustang», автор George E. Smith (лицензия Creative Commons CC BY-NC 2.0).

After the previous “Telecaster” album, which I released in February, my creative activity increased rapidly. Over the past few months, ideas, sketches, and songs have plucked onto a new album. The essence is about the same: voice plus guitar, sometimes with a drum machine.
As it usually happens with me, the album consists of the main tracks and bonus tracks, and in the archive, which can be downloaded from the Radio801 website, there is one more song than in the “standard version” posted on different social networks. All songs are written by me, with the exception of “If I give my soul” (this is a cover of Billy Joe Shaver’s imperishable ballad).
The Yellow Mustang album is inspired by American culture from the late 60s - early 70s. Of course, I couldn’t completely do as I would like (because I am still on the guitar, rather strumming than playing). But because of my ability, I tried to recall those glorious times when roaring muscle cars raced down the deserted highway, the voices of James Brown and Isaac Hayes, Muddy Waters' guitar and Ray Charles's piano sounded from receivers.
I used quotes from the films “Hijack in 60 Seconds” by H.H. Khaliki of 1974 (1) and Disappearing Point by Richard Sarafyan of 1971 (8), as well as fragments of Motown label hits (3).
