К великому празднику Рождества Христова Детско-юношеским хором во имя преподобного Иоанна Дамаскина собора Владимирской иконы Божией Матери (Санкт-Петербург) записан альбом "Золото, смирна и ладан. Рождественские песни Греции, Сербии и России".
Впервые Вы услышите византийские и греческие кáланды в переводе и с текстами на русском языке, а также Рождественские песни композитора - регента хора Ирины Болдышевой. В альбоме представлен и традиционный сербский Божич, и другие песни, исполненные на сербском языке. В начале звучат два богослужебных Рождественских песнопения, одно из которых - древний тропарь византийской традиции на греческом и церковно-славянском языках. Он и сегодня звучит, прославляя Рождество Христово на Святой Земле, на Святой Горе Афон и во всей Греции.
Царство духовного ликования, высокого богословия и тонкой, нежной, по-детски трепетной и чистой любви к Богомладенцу Христу найдет здесь всякая душа, любящая Истину или ещё только ищущая её. Юные певчие, исполняющие эти то хрустальные, то искрящиеся радостью песни, удостоились не один раз участвовать в Божественной литургии в Вифлеемской Пещере Рождества. То, что пережила душа каждого из них, воспевая славу Царю Царей в священном месте Его Рождения, таинственно овевает эти, исполняемые ими, древние и новые священные песни. Живая любовь ко Христу сердец, бившихся в давно минувшие века, сливается с любовью сердец, бьющихся сегодня. А так как у Бога все живы, - звучит небесный аккорд любви, услышав который, верим, согреется всякая душа и умилится, и воспрянет.
Растворяются границы времени и пространства... Мы переносимся в далёкий Вифлеем - город, промыслительно названный "домом хлеба", - чтобы духовно вкусить Хлеб Жизни... И великая тайна схождения Божия к нам приоткрывается взору нашей души и наполняет ее несказанной радостью и блаженством.
Альбом вышел к Рождеству, и мы надеемся, что он новой струйкой живой радости вольётся в священные переживания наших святочных дней и всей жизни.

The album presents both the traditional Serbian Bozic and other songs performed in the Serbian language. In the beginning, two liturgical Christmas songs are sung, one of which is the ancient troparion of the Byzantine tradition in Greek and Church Slavonic. Today it sounds, glorifying the Nativity of Christ in the Holy Land, on the Holy Mount Athos and throughout Greece.
The kingdom of spiritual rejoicing, high theology and subtle, gentle, childishly reverent and pure love for the Divine Infant Christ will be found here by every soul who loves the Truth or is only just seeking it. Young singers, performing these crystal, sometimes sparkling with joy songs, were honored more than once to participate in the Divine Liturgy in the Bethlehem Cave of Christmas. What the soul of each of them experienced, singing the glory to the King of Kings in the sacred place of His Birth, mysteriously winds over these, performed by them, ancient and new sacred songs. The living love for Christ of hearts beating in centuries past merges with the love of hearts beating today. And since everyone is alive with God, the heavenly chord of love sounds, hearing that, we believe, every soul will be warmed and touched, and perked up.
The boundaries of time and space are dissolving ... We are transported to distant Bethlehem - a city providentially called the "house of bread" - to spiritually taste the Bread of Life ... And the great mystery of the descent of God to us is opened to the gaze of our soul and fills it with unspeakable joy and bliss .
