Создала список книг для поднятия настроения. Они (почти) все в жанре романс, но таком, чтоб можно без смущения дать маме или дочке подростку, никаких сцен интима, насилия и прочего телевизора. У них у всех Хэппи Энд, но нормальный, человеческий без розовых соплей. Классику типа "Гордости и предубеждения" не включаю, только те, что нашла недавно, не знала, не ведала. Сразу признаюсь и прошу прощения, я читала их на английском, бесстыдно скачивая epub файлы из документов ВК, где они в открытом доступе. Часть из них, наверняка есть в переводе, если будут вопросы, спрашивайте, я постараюсь помочь.

~ Marissa Meyer - The Lunar Chronicles
Лунные Хроники, футуристический пересказ традиционных сказок с большим количеством влюблённости (ох этот Волк и Красная Шапочка), массой приключений и, к слову, пандемией почище короновируса. Оторваться невозможно. Не влюбиться в Императора, Волка, Белоснежкиного Охотника - невозможно.

~ Sarah M. Eden - The Lady and the Highwayman
Конец 19 века, тайное общество, таинственная личность, умный герой, умная героиня = ????

~ Susanna Kearsley - Mariana, The Rose Garden, Winter Sea
Про историю, любовь и адекватно воспринимаемые переходы во времени. Очень достоверно, серьёзно и ах.

~ Nancy Campbell Allen - Beauty and the Clockwork Beast.
Ктоб мне сказал, что книгу в стиле стимпанк с вампирами, оборотнями и прочей викторианской корсетностью я буду считать лучшей лав стори за последнее время? Адекватные герои, ворох чувственного напряжения, тайна, приключения и никаких идиотских сцен Непонимания в конце. Слишком хорошо, чтобы быть правдой. А там ещё 4 книги о второстепенных героях. ????

~ Shannon Hale - Book of a Thousand Days
Почти сказка, почти Рапунцель, что-то необычное, трогательное, страшное, захватывающее и про любовь. Хэппи энд, ясн дело.

~ K. M. Shea - Timeless Fairy Tales
Взяла всем известные сказки, запихала в одну вселённую, пересказала, связала героями и получилась конфетка, вкусная и лёгкая. Читать по порядку.

~ Georgette Heyer - Venetia, The Corinthian, Spring Muslin, Regency Buck, The Grand Sophy, etc.
Не знаю, как я не слышала раньше о Джоржет Хейер, но она гениальна. Всё книги про эпоху regency в Англии (Джейн Остин, короче), супер слог, текст, подробности эпохи, юмор. После заключительном сцены сидишь и просто улыбаешься.

~ Elizabeth Peters - Peabody series
Серия детективов про археологов начала 20 века. Он, она, Египет, мумии, тайны и прочая прочая. Эдакая Агата Кристи, но только с юмором.

~ Dorothy L. Sayers - Lord Peter Wimsey series
Та же песня, детектив лорд начала прошлого века, в части книг один, в части с дамой сердца, которая долго отказывается выходить за него замуж. Предложение руки и сердца по латыни, объяснение в любви по французски, дух эпохи сбивает с ног. Чувство собственной неполноценности гарантированно :)

Created a list of books to cheer up. They are (almost) all in the genre of romance, but in such a way that you can give mother or daughter a teenager without embarrassment, no scenes of intimacy, violence and other television. They all have a Happy End, but normal, human without pink snot. I don’t include classics like "Pride and Prejudice", only those that I found recently, I didn’t know, I didn’t know. To tell me that a book in the style of steampunk with vampires, werewolves and other Victorian corsetry, I will consider the best love story in recent years? Adequate heroes, a heap of sensory tension, mystery, adventure and no idiotic scenes of Misunderstanding at the end. Too good to be true. And there are 4 more books about minor heroes. ????

~ Shannon Hale - Book of a Thousand Days
Almost a fairy tale, almost Rapunzel, something unusual, touching, scary, exciting and about love. Happy end, clear business.

~ K. M. Shea - Timeless Fairy Tales
I took well-known fairy tales, stuffed it into one universe, retold it, connected it with heroes and turned out to be sweet, tasty and light. Read in order.

~ Georgette Heyer - Venetia, The Corinthian, Spring Muslin, Regency Buck, The Grand Sophy, etc.
I don’t know, as I had not heard about George Heyer before, but she is genius. All books about the era of regency in England (Jane Austen, in short), super syllable, text, details of the era, humor. After the final scene, you sit and just smile.

~ Elizabeth Peters - Peabody series
A series of detective stories about archaeologists of the early 20th century. He, she, Egypt, mummies, secrets and other. A kind of Agatha Christie, but only with humor.

~ Dorothy L. Sayers - Lord Peter Wimsey series
The same song, detective lord of the beginning of the last century, in the part of books alone, in part with a lady of the heart who for a long time refuses to marry him. A marriage proposal in Latin, a declaration of love in French, the spirit of the era knocks down. Self-inferiority guaranteed :)
