За год до обнаружения бочек с человеческими эмбрионами под Невьянском замироточила икона Четырнадцати тысяч младенцев, от Ирода в Вифлееме убиенных, в Вознесенском храме этого города. Об этом событии в мае 2011 года сообщал православный телеканал «Союз».
Стоя у чудотворной иконы, настоятель храма протоиерей Леонид Пекарский рассказал съёмочной группе, что чудесным событием «Господь о чем-то нас предупреждает». Как объяснил батюшка, истекающее из святыни миро может быть как знаком особой милости Божией, так и призывом к покаянию.
Если учесть, что святые Вифлеемские младенцы являются покровителями детей и им молятся женщины и мужчины, кающиеся в грехе умерщвления младенцев во чреве, можно предположить, что чудесный знак был призывом к жителям Среднего Урала покаяться в абортах и прекратить их совершение. Однако детоубийства продолжились, и через год весь мир был потрясен ужасающей находкой мертвых младенцев в окрестностях Невьянска.
«Вы же видите, что сейчас в мире происходит: идут нестроения, войны, землетрясения», - сказал священник, объясняя, о чем Господь может предупреждать людей мироточением. Что же будет с нашей страной за реки детской крови, льющиеся нескончаемым потоком?
Отметим, что первой заметила мироточение прихожанка храма Вознесения Господня Тамара Кардаш. Икона замироточила сразу после того, как образ с частицей мощей младенцев-мучеников был торжественно встречен приходом.
