Вот чего я никогда не понимал, так это противопоставление Путина и Ельцина, "черных 90–ых" и "государственнических 2000–ых".
Я правда не понимаю, чем плохой злой олигарх Березовский отличается от хорошего доброго олигарха Абрамовича (ну, кроме сумм, которые они напиздили — Березовский меньше), или тогдашний развал армии от нынешнего разгрома, или, скажем, поражение в Чечне от победы, после которой на улицах Москвы побежденные взяли моду расстреливать друг друга из автоматического оружия (причем все участники перестрелок не террористы какие, а "сотрудники МВД Чечни в служебной командировке").
Почему, грубо говоря, Россия, отказавшаяся от зарубежных баз и озлобившая против себя вообще ВСЕХ союзников — она как бы встала с колен, а Россия, посылающая десантников в Приштину, на коленях стоит? Почему беспомощная дипломатия, устраивающая ПМСные истерики ничтожной Прибалтике — это "возрождение мощи", а Примаков, разворачивающий лайнер над Атлантикой — это "продали страну американцам"?
Почему экономика, восстанавливающаяся при 20 долларах за баррель — это "разруха", а экономика, бьющаяся в предсмертных конвульсиях при 70 долларах — это "процветание"?
Даже, простигосподи, убийцы раньше были бандитами и уголовниками, а теперь это сотрудники МВД, совершившие убийство по неосторожности (или в состоянии аффекта, или еще как)?Как ни крути, нынешняя Россия в ЛЮБОМ аспекте (кроме личного благосостояния — но все мы прекрасно понимаем, что высокие цены на нефть в заслугу власти ставить нельзя) хуже, слабее и мельче России 90–ых.
Почему, когда в 90–е в школах начали внедрять информатику и больше иностранного — это развал образования;
а внедрение уроков православия и основ государственности вместо математики в 2000–х — это его подъем?
Почему наличие тысяч и тысяч различных адекватных (и не очень) голосов и мнений в СМИ 90–х с политической и экономической оценкой ситуации — это несформировавшийся рынок продажных журналистов;
а три российских говноканала 2000–х со здравицей Путину и его анус–ликингом — это цивилизованные масс–медиа?
Почему формирование частных собственников и первое за 100 лет формирование класса малых предпринимателей — это экономический хаос Гайдара–сволочи;
а присутствие на рынке более 300–х госкорпораций неспособных ничего произвести вообще, но требующих миллиардные бюджеты — это победа Путинских реформ?
Почему смена министров и кабинетов по факту их несостоятельности — это чехарда правительств;
а премьер, неспособный уволить шестерых заваливших работу министров, но почему–то диктующий свою волю главе страны — это действенная вертикаль власти?
Почему откровенное раскрытие фактов о наличии семейных уз чиновников в гос.власти — это темные 90–е;
а присутствие тупоголовых ФСБ–ников, путинских дружков и многократных казнокрадов во всех крупных компаниях страны — это эффективный кадровый менеджмент?

What I never understood was the opposition of Putin and Yeltsin, the “black 90s” and the “statist 2000s”.
I really don’t understand how the bad evil oligarch Berezovsky differs from the good good oligarch Abramovich (well, except for the amounts they crap - Berezovsky is less), or the collapse of the army from the current rout, or, say, defeat in Chechnya from a victory, after which on the streets of Moscow, the losers took the fashion to shoot each other with automatic weapons (and all the participants in the shootings are not terrorists, but "Chechen Interior Ministry employees on a business trip").
Why, roughly speaking, Russia, which has abandoned foreign bases and embittered ALL Allies against itself in general - has it, as it were, gotten off its knees, and Russia, sending paratroopers to Pristina, is on its knees? Why is helpless diplomacy, organizing ICP tantrums in the paltry Baltic, a “revival of power”, and Primakov, deploying a liner over the Atlantic, “sold the country to the Americans”?
Why is an economy recovering at $ 20 a barrel a disaster, and an economy convulsing at $ 70 a prosperity?
Even, forgive me, the killers used to be bandits and criminals, but now these are the Interior Ministry officers who committed the murder through negligence (or in the state of affect, or whatever)? Say what you like, present-day Russia in ANY aspect (other than personal welfare - but we are all fine we understand that high oil prices cannot be attributed to the authorities) worse, weaker and smaller than Russia in the 90s.
Why, when in the 90s schools started to introduce computer science and more foreign - this is the collapse of education;
and the introduction of the lessons of Orthodoxy and the foundations of statehood instead of mathematics in the 2000s is its rise?
Why the presence of thousands and thousands of various adequate (and not so) votes and opinions in the media of the 90s with a political and economic assessment of the situation is an unformed market for corrupt journalists;
and the three Russian govnokanals of the 2000s with a toast to Putin and his anus-listing are civilized mass media?
Why is the formation of private owners and the first in 100 years the formation of a class of small entrepreneurs - this is the economic chaos of Gaidar – the scum;
and the presence on the market of more than 300 state corporations incapable of producing anything at all, but requiring billions of dollars in budget, is Putin’s reform victory?
Why the change of ministers and cabinets upon their insolvency is a mess of governments;
and the prime minister, unable to fire six ministers who have overwhelmed the work, but for some reason dictating his will to the head of the country, is this an effective vertical of power?
Why the frank disclosure of facts about the presence of family ties of officials in state power is the dark 90s;
and the presence of stupid FSB nicknames, Putin's friends and multiple embezzlers in all the major companies of the country - is it an effective personnel management?
