Можно хвататься за голову, как ужасно, наплевательски правительство Бразилии относилось к культурному наследию своей страны, но у нас ведь все то же самое. У нас тоже чудовищные миллиарды были потрачены на стадионы для ЧМ и дебильной Олимпиады, на газоскреб,, а естественно-научные коллекции прозябают в полузаброшенных складах или старых зданиях, где они набиты, как сельди в бочку, и тысячи банок со спиртом громоздятся в деревянных шкафах вперемежку с чучелами, скелетами и окаменелостями. У Университета и Института нет денег на кураторов коллекций; этим должен заниматься научный и образовательный персонал в свободное от науки и образования время, за 10000 рублей в месяц (в лучшем случае). Стоит ли говорить о том, что у Университета и Института нет денег на строительство специализированных современных хранилищ.
Уже не один десяток лет ходят слухи о выселении нашего биофака из здания 12 коллегий, но не для того, чтоб улучшить нам условия, а для того, чтоб отдать 12 коллегий полностью под администрацию. Не слыхала, чтобы где-то было создано место, способное принять такую коллекцию, какая хранится на биофаке. Выгонять ее из дома на "улицу" - нельзя. А зная, как "прекрасно" работают нынче службы Университета, ясно, что даже сам переезд станет фатальным для половины коллекции.
Я понимаю, что, скорее всего, энергия просто вылетит в трубу; но сейчас самое время действовать. Как бы цинично это ни прозвучало, но надо извлечь уроки из бразильской трагедии. Надо клянчить у власть имущих хранилища для естественно-исторического наследия нашей страны. Если уж они нашли 45 милиардов рублей на долбаный стадион - вряд ли хранилище будет стоить дороже.
