Я всегда любила море. Мне кажется, оно хранит память о прошлом крепче, чем изменчивая земля. Я сижу на высоком берегу и считаю волны. А они все еще шепчут о пиратских шхунах, что некогда бороздили здесь океан под черными крыльями-флагами.

I always loved the sea. It seems to me that it keeps the memory of the past stronger than the changing earth. I sit on a high bank and count the waves. And they still whisper about the pirate schooners that once plowed the ocean here under the black wings-flags.
