Всего 4 часа до старта гонки Raid-In-France! Снаряжение готово. Команды спят. Кто хотел связаться с родными и друзьями, уже связался, потому как далее 64 командам (59 в протоколе пролога) предстоит 425 км треккинга/велосипеда/каякинга на протяжении 5-8 дней без связи с внешним миром. Нам же предстоит следить за точками на карте и вылавливать по крупицам информацию от полевых репортеров и организаторов о том, что происходит с командами на дистанции. Сегодня было праздничное открытие соревнований с парадом, оркестром и местным населением, а затем небольшой пролог 1,5 км в виде традиционной забавы - катание обруча (покрышки) палкой. Команда RedFox Adventure Team (№62) заняла 14 место, поэтому стартует на 7 минут позже от времени первого старта в 5:00 (МСК). Команда Blizzard (№22) стартует через 21 минуту. Пролог был необходим для того, чтобы команды со старта могли спокойно пройти узкими тропами и выйти на свой комфортный режим скорости без толчеи и лишней суматохи. Первый этап треккинг - 106 км по дремучим лесам и горам острова Реюньон. Ожидаемый набор 7620 м (это не мало, поверьте!).

Just 4 hours before the start of the Raid-In-France race! The equipment is ready. The teams are sleeping. Those who wanted to contact relatives and friends had already contacted, because then 64 teams (59 in the prologue protocol) will have 425 km of trekking / bicycle / kayaking for 5-8 days without communication with the outside world. But we have to follow the points on the map and catch bit by bit information from field reporters and organizers about what is happening with the teams at a distance. Today was the festive opening of the competition with a parade, orchestra and the local population, and then a small prologue of 1.5 km in the form of a traditional fun - rolling a hoop (tire) with a stick. The RedFox Adventure Team (No. 62) took 14th place, so it starts 7 minutes later from the time of the first start at 5:00 AM (GMT). The Blizzard team (No. 22) starts in 21 minutes. The prologue was necessary so that the teams from the start could calmly go through narrow paths and reach their comfortable speed mode without jostling and clutter. The first stage is trekking - 106 km through the dense forests and mountains of Reunion Island. The expected set of 7620 m (this is not enough, believe me!).
