Дяде Пете чуть за шестьдесят. У него есть жена, тётя Валя, старенькая Ока, телёнок, дочка в соседнем селе и недавно умерший сын. Дядя Петя - смотритель "Дома со львом" и сложносоставная душа. Он не пропустит ни одной юбки - при этом
придёт ночью с ружьём защищать девочек-волонтеров от местных дембелей. Когда в музей (который мы везде продвигаем как бесплатный!) приезжают гости - он выставляет на стол пустую крынку и ненавязчиво рекомендует всем положить туда немного денег "на сигареты". Но для многих гостей общение с дядей Петей остается одним из самых ярких эпизодов поездки в "Дом со львом", той самой встречей с настоящей деревней. Он однажды вырыл огромную яму прямо у домика, чтоб найти и сдать металлолом, но при этом именно дяде Пете я полностью доверяю весь уход за музеем. "Дом со львом" стал для дяди Пети и местом работы, и тем, что держит его на плаву, не давая свернуть на очевидный путь (да, еще и потому что домашними напитками он готов делиться с гостями). Гости Поповки дают дяде Пете ощущение жизни, бьющей ключом. В селе это - редкое ощущение.
Сейчас мы собираем деньги на реставрацию домика, чтобы, когда вы приедете, дядя Петя гордо показал вам его - и чтобы в этот момент у всех горели глаза.
