МОЙ ГИМН МОСКОВСКОМУ УНИВЕРСИТЕТУ
Москва, Россия, Ленинские горы. –
Как этот адрес прост! И впредь, на сотни лет,
сюда устремлены, на невечерний свет¹,
потоки писем, трепетные взоры –
к тебе, Московский Университет!
Встречает гостей – и бывалых, и новых –
при каждом свиданье с Москвой
героика² Гор Воробьёвых
и стройный ампир Моховой.
Вернадский, Герцен, Соловьёв, Грановский
и сонм святых имён – оставили здесь след,
всем сердцем чтя как Ломоносова завет
наш первый, наш российский, наш московский³,
наш Храм науки – университет.
Ведь блеском умов – не дорожек ковровых –
столь славен твой шпиль золотой,
о, героика Гор Воробьёвых,
и стройный ампир Моховой!
Вот вновь к колоннам красного гранита
я устремляю шаг сквозь сень густых аллей.
И знаю: сердце здесь забьётся чуть быстрей,
поняв – не просто дверь пред ним открыта:
путь в новый мир – мир знаний, мир идей!
С заветного дня и на долгие годы
я духом сроднился с тобой.
О, героика Гор Воробьёвых!
О, стройный ампир Моховой!
¹Невечерний – означает «не преходящий, не исчезающий с наступлением вечера». Выражение «невечерний свет», хотя и с несколько иным, сугубо духовным смыслом, впервые употребил религиозный мыслитель начала XX столетия, выпускник Московского Университета Сергий Булгаков.
²Сокращённо от термина «героический монументализм», предложенного в своё время искусствоведами для определения архитектурного стиля рубежа 1940-х – 50-х гг. Собственно сокращение было заимствовано из научной статьи 1990-x, однако не получило всеобщего хождения.
³Намеренно цитирую Игоря Волгина, наиболее ярко воспевшего в стихах «дворик на Проспекте Маркса, или на бывшей Моховой».

MY HYMN TO MOSCOW UNIVERSITY
Moscow, Russia, Lenin mountains. -
How simple this address is! And henceforth, for hundreds of years,
are directed here, into the non-evening light¹,
streams of letters, trembling eyes -
to you, Moscow University!
Meets guests - both experienced and new -
at every date with Moscow
heroics of Vorobyovy Gory
and slender empire Mokhovoy.
Vernadsky, Herzen, Solovyov, Granovsky
and a host of holy names - left a mark here,
honoring with all my heart like the Lomonosov testament
our first, our Russian, our Moscow³,
our Temple of Science is a university.
After all, the brilliance of minds - not carpet paths -
your golden spire is so glorious
Oh, the heroics of the Vorobiev’s Mountains,
and slender Empire style Mokhovaya!
Here again to the columns of red granite
I take a step through the canopy of thick alleys.
And I know: the heart here will beat a little faster,
realizing - not just the door in front of him is open:
way to a new world - a world of knowledge, a world of ideas!

The expression “non-evening light”, although with a slightly different, purely spiritual meaning, was first used by a religious thinker of the beginning of the 20th century, a graduate of Moscow University, Sergiy Bulgakov.
² Abbreviated from the term "heroic monumentalism", proposed at one time by art critics to define the architectural style of the turn of the 1940s - 50s. The actual reduction was borrowed from a scientific article of the 1990s, but did not receive universal circulation.
